We will be replacing a freelander. It was not man enough for the jobs needed, but it is a good size. Something that size with more in its car trousers would be ideal.
That might help those of you who understand these horrid machines understand what I need. It's also a fairly horrid drive tbh. I hate it.

(I love the look of the big Volvo four by fours, and there are some sub 10k second hand now, but I doubt they are man enopugh. :(. They are also HuGe. But the mpg is good I think.

Edit, some thing with decent towing ability would be more useful too I think, but that narrows the field.

Unless we also commit to buying a tractor within next couple of years and a horse box. (I hate towing trailers anyway.)

    We need more monnnnnnneeeeeeeey.

Do you want another Landrover, just beefier? Don't the farmers all get Defenders? That's more or less the same design Landrover have been turning out for 70 years.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I have am still epicly dwindling down our freezer and cupboards. If I get snowed in with only parent's horrid car next week (it's hard to get properly snowed in here, pretty darn decent roads in and out, not too hilly or curvy, but I am more likely to huddle in) I think I am down to frozen sprouts, dried mushrooms and grains. (of the stuff I can eat on these pills). Oh, and lemons, I won't get scurvy.

I will get dh to open the tin drawers for me before he goes back, as I cannot move them. Plenty in there if it gets desperate!

Plenty of chickens if you get truly desperate. :D

I like the Bond films though I haven't seen Skyfall yet. I'm not sure if I prefer how "dark" they have gone with Bond but that seems to be the way they have gone to try and compete with the big US action movies.

Skyfall was much better than Quantum IMHO.

Hasn't the hyundai santa fe been replaced with the i35?

Most farmers have discos if it's a sole car. Tbh, our car has to work harder than most farmers cars because they have tractors and our car has to do some of what their tractors do. We were hoping to buy a second hand tractor with a front loader this year but don't think we will afford it with a car too.

Went to the doctors today, my eczema has flaired up again after being dormant for over 10 years...think the stress may be getting to me. Plus, I have now developed OA in the fingers of my left hand, real pain but suppose it had to happen eventually after having it diagnosed in my right hand and fingers over 20 years ago. This is making things just a tiny bit complicated as I now can't hold jars or cups in my left hand as my fingers have stiffened up so can't round them and have them bend back slightly easily and without pain and I can't trust to hold things in my right hand as my hand releases when I am not looking at it!

So to add to my medical cupboard, I now have more medication to deal with my fingers and emollient cream and bath gel for my Eczema !

    God, I'm feeling blooming miserable.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

The i35 is a crossover and the Santa Fe is the 4 X 4. They look pretty similar on the road but the Santa Fe is much bigger inside.

I was sick of BMW's and Audi and looking for a change. Went for a test drive and was smitten.

It took the OH a bit to appreciate it but she loves it now. That's normal in my household :)

I expect Hyundai will become bigger and bigger in the UK. They are South Korean which means quality, reliability, better value and are the 4th biggest car manufacturer in the World. Just not pushed as much in the UK as other markets yet, but that's changing.

    Hey, misskool....how is the car?

Guess where mine is? A random pub car park where I managed to get it to limp to. In future I must touch wood while typing on this wretched thread.

Choose me a car nice people.

:( oh no, sorry it must be my jinx.

    Something LandRover?

I have no car presently. Need to figure it out at the weekend.
