Well my visa came through on Thursday morning. Heathrow was an absolute mess. Less than 5 mins to check in but then 1.5 hours queueing to get through passport control / hand luggage xrays! They can't blame the cuts either as there were bucket loads of staff standing around chatting...

Heels are bad in two respects. (1) they shorten the Achilles' tendon (2) they make girls look taller.

Hooray! Are you sitting next to Generali in the pub now? It was such a big gesture to fly over and celebrate the new job with him. :D

Are you not very tall then chewy?

Glad you got to Australia btw. Hope you didn't go through a 20 hour flight consisting of "you could have avoided all of the stress you put me through by putting the request in earlier".

D'yuh, silly me, its zero because it's not on. There is a second arrow (red) pointing at one. And...our pressure guage is underneath.

Actually, LIR, it's probably the other way around, ie the boiler is not on because the water pressure is zero. The water pressure needs to be at 1 for the boiler to fire. At least that's my guess without seeing your system, which sounds rather a complicated one.

There's usually a very small tap next to the pressure vessel that you can turn to let more water into the system to repressurise it. On the other hand, if the system has suddenly depressurised itself only a week after being commissioned that could indicate something else is wrong. My guess is that it vented itself through the pressure relief valve, but the question is why it did that in the first place?

Yup. To make it clear, I have no problem with my daughter wearing ill-fitting shoes for a couple of hours once a month (she's 6 so waaaay too young for 'heels' even to be an issue). She'll wear heels/shoes that are too tight on a daily basis once she's buying them for herself or her feet have stopped growing, whichever comes first.

How long will this journey take? My wife is taking a group of people by coach from near Archway station in North London (N19 3RQ) to Sloane Square. They need to arrive at 5PM on Thursday this week, ie at a busy time of day during the run up to Xmas.

The RAC route planner comes up with a route going through the centre of London, eg Regent Street, Piccadilly and Knightsbridge. It says the journey is 7 miles, which it reckons can be done in 28 minutes. I thought that it might take much, much longer than that, given the likely traffic, but I have no real idea.

Does anybody have any help? DW needs to book the coach to leave at the right time to arrive at 5PM, so it's rather important to get this right. Help!

I would guess at 90 mins at least (are we starting a sweepstake?). If they looked like arriving ahead of schedule could they not just drive around a bit longer? Not so easy to do anything about being late.
