I have managed to introduce/ convert people to many foodstuffs. I am happy for things to be left if they are really not liked, so long as they are given a fair trial
Can imagine you as a housemate to PN.
She would come on here saying (1) what is a courgette? Never had one, never want to (2) interfering housemate trying to make me eat strange food (3) who puts vegetables in cakes? (4) she's occupying the kitchen doing fancy cooking so I'm hiding. (5) posh alert.;)

My actual flatmate was probably thinking similar things when I was icing at 11pm last night. She walked in and the kitchen was a mess (I did tidy up though :A), and I did tell her what I was making. She doesn't really cook, so I think that added to her thinking that I was completely mad.
To add to the posh alert I did my ingredient shopping in Waitrose as I had a money off voucher to use up (not sure whether that is a posh alert or whether I have managed to cancel it out).0 -
Peach omelette sounds pretty, erm, interesting. Peach in salad perhaps. Peach with chilli I might give a go. I would draw the line at in an omelette though
I didn't completely make it up myselfA previous colleague had made one and it was nice so I googled for a recipe. If I hadn't mentioned my secret ingredient (didn't want to find out the wrong way that someone was allergic to courgettes) then I don't think anyone would have guessed.
When my turn next comes around I might bake something savoury (it always seems to be cakes).
Sweet omlettes have never been my 'thing' but I tried a banana omlette recently ( low carbing) and it was ok. I would try peach.
Edit, it benefitted from lots of cinnamon one day and nutmeg the next.0 -
I see LIR finally got the furniture rearranged and the lighting sorted. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2237322/Worlds-expensive-luxury-kitchen-costing-1m-featuring-Swarovski-chandelier-launched-chef-Aldo-Zilli-London.html0

Isn't it just like a cake except without the flour? I don't see a problem with that..
I have been asked to make another pumpkin pie and Libby's is sold out at waitrose. I may have to buy a butternut squash tomorrow and experiment! Waitrose does have other pumpkins available so it may still be ok....0 -
I am so tired.
A slightly posh alert feature of the new kitchen is that my house is now SO humongous, ok, just lots of thick walls, that I cannot get signal from the land line or the wifi in there.. I cannot hear the front door either.
Not sure how to fix either of tose problems.
We had electric heaters on today to warm up, and we keep tripping the electrics, whcih have hung n through the bad weather.
I have been trying to sort out the kitchen. I thought it would take the morning but we still haven't finished tonight.. We have eight separate pots of pepper, I never buy pepper, but dh has almost each time he has moved.
