You baked that specially for SC...ahhh :)

WE are at about 100m, generally it slopes down in most directions but the ground is all clay so it remains damp almost whatever happens but I don't think it will ever flood. So Viva looks down on SC and me. What I find interesting is sometimes when it snows the small local differences of just 10-20m can mean the difference between snow and slush.
    I think....

We're at the bottom of the hill in terms of the houses but the ground slopes off down to the river which is a 0ft and is about 400m away so an average gradient of 9%.

Our river becomes the Paramatta River after about 500m and that becomes Sydney Harbor in a couple of kms.

Our house, typically of Sydney houses, built on stilts that vary between about 20cm & 60cm depending which side of the house you are on.

The chances of us flooding are basically nil unless someone builds a levee the other side of the street and the water backs up.

I thought I was already ruled out lemonjelly, as I like curry?

That's about right Lydia - though I'm not sure I'm a great chooser of potential blokes anyway (which is frustrating as other than that I'm a fairly good judge of character).

I would say it was only certain types of blokes, but to be honest I've found things out about too many blokes who seem to be lovely and genuine. To be honest I think I'd make a terrible partner for a lot of reasons, at least in the near future.

Rule number 1 - never rule anything out, ever.:)

I'm so picky with food and stuff, that if I only chose people who liked the same foods as me, I'd never find anyone!
I think sometimes it is the differences between you that make you, rather than what you have in common. That opportunity to learn new things/perspectives, or to show someone something they've never seen/heard/experienced that you are passionate about is simply the best.

I've learned so much from people with different viewpoints from me. Sometimes I have changed views, others, it has challenged my views but in a good way, as I have re-enforced them by having them questioned.

On the boob poll, I've never looked at mine, because as a typical bloke I'm too busy looking at everyone else's...

    Precisely.

Look, if I get back into the international banks rather than the local ones they're going to expect me to work for a living. This is a highly disturbing thought which makes me think I need a cold beer and a lie down.

If I keep on as I am I can pursue my interests, earn a reasonable living and be a family man. The money is really very tempting though...

Lovely day here. No wind, no rain, hardly a cloud in the sky... Power just went off!

Grrrr and after me saying it hardly ever goes off, yesterday :rotfl:

    Order is resumed

Tough luck Gen but it shows your heading in the right direction and it's only a matter of time. So enjoy your life while you have one ;)

Above sea level - all I know, is my feet are currently dry. Therefore I am high enough above sea level...
