Happy Birthday Silvercar:bdaycake:
We're a bit over 450 ft above sea level here and at the top of a hill, so risk of flooding not too great, risk of fences and trees coming down, pretty high. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Happy Birthday Silvercar!
We are 23m above sea level here.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Happy Birthday Silvercar! Hope you have a lovely day and weekend.0

We are 100m above sea level here.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Happy birthday silvercar :bdaycake:
Give me a shout if you need a hand to blow out those candles, hehe
I'm 14m above sea level and the part of the road that is under water is over 17m above but there is no chance I will ever be flooded unless we get a tsunami up the Solway coast.
It's not really accurate as the flooded field at the bottom of my garden is at least 3 meters lower but it says it's higher.
It more depends on the surrounding area and you could be 100m up and still get flooded if your at the bottom of a higher slope.
Funny thing is they had my local town on BBC breakfast because the river was over. I was down there yesterday afternoon and it wasn't over then and it goes over regularly so it's no big news here but seemed to make BBC news.0 -
Well I missed out on the job I really wanted. I was right, I was on a shortlist of two and I came second, oh well thems are the breaks. *sob*
I've got a second interview for the other job which is also a step up from what I'm doing now; we'll see how I go there.
I maintain what I said yesterday: I've got a job that suits my needs, pays me amply and has lifestyle benefits too as the hours are pretty short and the boss is happy for me to leave early or turn up late as long as the work gets done: performance is very much measured on output not input. I can go off to the gym for 90mins at lunchtime, I can go and find myself interesting projects to do at work.
More money would be good but it always would. Today I left work at about 3pm and was home not long after 3.45 having had a schooner and few minutes cricket watching on the way. It's not a bad life!
A very happy birthday to Silvercar. The first 21 years go by so quickly. Before you know it you'll be 30.

there is a gap in the wall of the patio, with 3 steps onto the grass. In bad weather it looks like a waterfall. Bottom of the garden is a culvert that has always been dry as far as I have ever seen, though the bottom of the garden gets very soggy.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
