Yes, Hon is short for Honey, an annoying 'endearment' used towards random women - in the same vein as Dear, Duck, Poppet, Love.....

You do still have to watch the prices though (I find food is often dearer), but there are oodles of bits and bobs that are handy. Stuff you never knew you needed until ......
Round here there are a lot of 'value'-type shops. I went on a tour of them on Saturday as I had a few things to get. Never keen on paying more than is necessary, and was a good excuse to see what shops there are in town.
One thing on the list was a shaver point adaptor for my electric toothbrush and epilator. Wilkinsons £1.06, exactly the same one in poundland. Other prices of note (it was a glamorous Saturday): 9 rolls of branded loo roll on offer in Lidl at £3.49 (can't remember what their original price was). Was going to return on the way home so I didn't have to walk around town with a big pack of toilet paper. Popped into Superdrug (looking for shaver point adaptors) and there was a small stack of the same stuff opposite the till at £2.99.
I've always found lidl very competitive on price (even without offers), but I'll be keeping an eye on them too now! It isn't much fun going shopping with me - given enough time I tend to do a tour pricing things up, then go back to the best value place.
Edit: that should read best value for each item :eek:0 -

I thought it could have done with being half as long though. I got a bit bored. The voiceover didn't help. As much as I like Caroline Aherne, she sounded like she needed a strong coffee or something.0 -
Bargain Xmas pressies. Anyone got any ideas ?
Secret Santa specials perhaps
I quite like Hawkins Bazaar so I'll have a nosey there0 -

Didn't they go under last year? I know that one of my colleague's husband was laid off when they shut our local one. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
