He is doing well at ' in yer bed' too.
Desist is going to be a tough one.
He is a very busy little puppy and is easily bored of his puppy toys, so we are going to need some more exciting ones soon. Time to research tasty chewable things. Flavoured nylabones are not hitting the spot at all!0 -
Ooh , program on telly - Pound shop wars.
Fascinating.
A telling stat from the owner of 99p stores. A decade plus back he was bringing in 10 container loads of stuff from China. Today, it's not 10 but 2000 !
No wonder the balance of trade has swung so far. Our desire for tat is obviously huge!0 -
Actually, I like the idea in pound shops, of reducing the size/quantity of an item to meet a price point - the pound.
With fixed incomes for many on lower pay scales, I think it highlights the budget realities they face.0 -
I love Poundland type shops.... they took a long time to get to where I was living, so I hadn't been in one until about 2009/10 or so.
You do still have to watch the prices though (I find food is often dearer), but there are oodles of bits and bobs that are handy. Stuff you never knew you needed until ......0 -

That was a really interesting programme. Fascinating how they buy stuff and occasionally chuck an item that they are getting at at 80p into the mix to up the perception of getting a bargain.
The whole concept is amazing from an ops management standpoint. What put it into perspective was the theft of the drinks in the warehouse and the profits being so small that it wipes them out for the pack.
I think in St Albans they are next door to each other, so next time I'm over there I'll have to go have a look see and see which I like the best. I've only been to the big Poundland in Watford, so don't really know what to expect. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Dh loves pound shops.
There's only one cool thing we ever got there IMO, something marketed as a temporary pop up pet pen. The cats leapt around in them like zorbs. Was truley knicker wettingly hilarious. The cats liked it and used to go in of own accord.
On other subject. I find the endearment used online 'Hun' very odd. I cannot help thinking of warlike People as in Attila the or as in ww type German stereotype. Neither seems endearing.0 -

Funny, I don't think that at all. For me, I thought it was just from honey, but spelt the Winnie the Pooh way.

In the early days of t'internet, I think people used to type hon, but now it's just more phonetic. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Yep, sure that's what it is, but it's never my first thought.

I don't think you are aggressive. Having said that, I've just seen that bl**dy awful BA advert with the happy jumper and I want to shout and throw things at the telly and vomit all at the same time:mad::mad::mad:. Does it have the same impact on anyone else? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
