I completed this quiz and found I am closest to Gill Stein (Greens) closely followed by Obama (Democrat) so now I feel I have a stake in the American Election , rather like when you pick a horse for the Grand National.

Brilliant. I match Obama and the Libertarian candidate (84 and 80% respectively) but only 37% Romney. It's interesting the results you get by not asking many questions about the economy, but I would think that's a big vote steerer in RL. If I was in the States and entitled to vote for real, I'd still vote Obama.
Goes back to what michaels said about 100 pages back... Economically it's really easy to get behind the Republicans on a lot of issues but when they start to get a little bit off beam around the edges its scary. I think I've said before, but when a gay friend in FL was very ill, instead of calling his long term partner, the nurse - who did not approve of gay marriage - called his parents instead even though the partner was named as next of kin. Fortunately his parents are fine with the relationship but it could have been very difficult indeed. That's the sort of aspects of Republicanism I find scary. Though, to be fair to Romney, he has flip-flopped a lot and I don't think he is as far to the right as he made out to get the nomination. I have heard good things about him as a governor. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Well I'm 87% Green and Libertarian, 86% Obama and 44% Mitt.
If I was in the US, I'd be struggling for a candidate to back. There are only 2 people that are going to win the election and I couldn't see myself voting for either. I find it amazing and rather sad that The Theory of Evolution could ever even be a political issue. I liked Mitt's position on it:Do you believe the theory of Evolution?
Mitt Romney: Yes, and I believe it is a part of Creationism
One of the great political non-stances. I suspect what it actually means is, 'Of course I do but a large enough chunk of the core vote doesn't that and I have to keep them onside'.
The increasing partisanship of the electorate is likely to cause increasing problems for Republicans as they have so many wingnuts in their party. Obama should be unelectable right now: the economy is in a mess and he has repeatedly shown no desire or ability to compromise when faced with a Republican Congress. Clinton showed the best (or least-worst) way forward in the modern age of power politics. At least he could keep the Government running!0 -

Do Dog Dog and Big Dog vie for affection of Curly Dog?
Also, did you name it the H word in the end? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Hmm - and I thought I was small govt economically and socially and I find myself 93% Obama, 84% Stein (even though I said no to subsidising wind power) and only 68% Johnson.
Thanks for posting this Spirit
I am also getting to the point where there isn't a British political party that doesn't hold a least one position which would make then a 'could never vote for' party. The other weird thing is that I find if I wanted to vote with my pocket book rather than my conscience I would find myself voting for a party I consider economically illiterateI think....0 -

Big dog,who I hoped would 'adopt him' is horrified by him. He does chew on her tail and feet relentlessly.
He thinks they are both great, but it's dog dog who loves him. He is the h word, with a name before that and an abbreviation for every day. His show name is fairly generic.0 -
Well Mrs Generali is back to find the kids happy and well and Chez Generali cleaner and tidier than when she left. I even cleaned the bathrooms! I'm very pleased with myself.
Whole beef fillets were on special at the local grocers so we've got that for dinner which will mean lots of yummy beef salads to take to work this week too.
The only downer is I think I managed to get sunburnt mowing the lawn this afternoon. I really have got to stop getting burned because it is very bad for you and viva will get cross. I just don't like sunscreen but then I prefer it to cancer which is generally the choice over here.0 -

Great find! Interesting questions and I liked the diversity of the answers in 'choose another stance' option. So many issues, for me, that were not yes/noEmergency savings: 4600
