Erm, am I missing something here???

It's a summertime thing in the rates' house. Naked bed bouncing, fly zapping. I think you may have missed it as it was a craze sweeping through the nice people!

It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Took ID to the sharks..... one step closer to being allowed the luxury and privilege of renting a tiny, dated roof over my head.

Edit: can't move earlier than 3 weeks as LL won't refund any of my rent I've paid (to the end of the month). I gave notice of my intentions to go 2 weeks ago, now I try to pin that down to 2 weeks' time (hoping for a refund) to discover it's "no go" and "hard cheese". So 3 weeks as that's a weekend, so then just paying for two places for 6 days.

Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Hard cheese eh? I would have thought that would be on the list of things you're not allowed to eat while you're in her house.

Oh good luck Pastures. At least you can count the days now.

If they picked mine they'd find some tiny tobacco bits, 1p, 2 receipts and the frayed ends of the inside of the pocket.

Fc123 was certainly at it. I think our men folk were simultaneously naked zapping a hundred miles apart.

westie dog has now decided he is scared of fireworks after all. it wasn't a problem year 1 and year 2, but now he starts to growl and produce funny noises like 'wawowawl' whenever there's a bang.

Curly dog is gorgeous. DD and I are so looking forward to meeting him. The family next door have just got a puppy (golden labradoodle) so we are doing well for puppy adorableness ATM.

Avatar-dog hated fireworks. He used to try to dig holes in the carpet to make somewhere safe to hide, or else try to climb round behind the TV in amongst all the cables and things.

We have been invited to some friends' house tomorrow night. They will be doing fireworks in their garden, and are having lots of friends round for it.

Disaster in the Generali household. Mrs Generali has gone to Brisbane for a long weekend and hasn't taken the Generalissimos:eek:

I should have taken today off. I salute single parents everywhere.

Cheers. Hope you survive the long weekend.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
