Well it amused me.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

We used to do fireworks in our garden, perfect really as the two younger ones are not keen on crowds, especially youngest, so far less stressful although I tended to spend most of my time inside the house de stressing youngest.
We've not done it for the last couple of years due to the cost and hassle involved getting everything organised/youngest prepared for people being in the house and the inevitable fallout from youngest because it was outside of routine and people were in the house.
That said, we have had no need to do our own this week, 2 neighbours in the road have both had spectacular displays which could be seen very clearly from ours.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
A neighbour in a really big house puts on spectacular and no doubt expensive firework displays.
However, I can't help feeling that the effects look better when viewed from a distance, like our place or further afield even.
I've been and seen them up close and it doesn't feel the same.0 -
Pet shops that sell lizards, turtles and such...
But is using a terrarium to put plants in not a bit of an expensive option? What's your project, LJ?
A christmas present for my mum...:) Thought it might look pretty.lostinrates wrote: »Ebay....always on the local bargains thing round here on eBay lemonjelly.

I'm debating whether to stand, alone, in a street and look up in the cold...
I think I will. I haven't been out to see fireworks in years, even though I did quite want to. I've also had a glass of wine with my dinner (well, it is Friday), so its seeming like a better idea
Find somewhere with high ground, tnight, & you'll see masses of fireworks.
I've driven down the birmingham new road a few bonfire nights, & in certain places, they're everywhere.
I recall a friend having radiotherapy, & therefore couldn't be in crowds etc, as it wipes out your immune system. They didn't know my plans - I filled a flask, got some snacks, & took them to a high up place where they could see across the city seeing loads of pub displays, people in their backgardens, and so on. e were able to sit in the car with a cuppa. Was great (apart from when they started crying...)It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
According to my local aquarium shop, fish tanks with just aquatic plants in them are quite the 'in thing' now. (Well, maybe a few Armano shrimp in there)
Is that an option?
(Yes, yes, I know it's not a terrarium)

I just rang the local shop to ask.
One was a salt water tank, but the smaller one was fresh water and is this :-

It might be a bit small, but to me they are different.
The tank I got last year is what I'd consider ornamental too (not a proper fish tank) :
