Has he done everything he wants to in life, gone everywhere?? There maybe something he's always wanted to learn etc, or even someone he's wanted to meet..............you may be able to make it happen for him

When was his 'heyday', you could do a 20's/30's/40's night in hamper, might take a bit of sourcing but could be fun for both of you ;) There's always memorabilia on Ebay, programmes/tickets/signs/music/films etc etc

Thats a nice idea...would take loads of thought, perhaps my mum could help (not that she was round then LOL!) but he really enjoyed his recent day out to Beamish (old english style village i think) so perhaps another day out like that to Wigan Pier, Iron Bridge etc. could be included in a 'war days' hamper :T thanks!! i will let you all know how i get on and thanks so much for your ideas! much appreciated!!

Gave my first 3 presents at the start of the month - as I was home in Denmark anyway it saved postage and or hassle for my mum - she didn't have to buy on my behalf which was great and I got something cheap in the boots watch and frangrance sale worth much more than I paid ;) YAY me!

Totally off topic, but Tine, the link in your signatures just reduced me to tears and I'm not even a big animal lover. I so want to adopt all of them !!! :(

Sorry Jamtart :) Yeah I have to stop myself looking too often and I'm part of the charity (behind the scenes stuff) so I should know what it's like... seriously it gets me when people "throw out the old" especially at christmas - just to replace it with a new puppy... So many older dogs need good loving homes and are often a better choice for a family new to dog ownership as they are usually fairly well trained and behaved... andoften you don't get the chewing of furniture lol!!!!
Anyway I'm off topic here :rotfl:

And you know... we always need foster homes ;)

Why did I have to look at this link too :( ...far too nosey for my own good...now I just cant understand how people can have a pet for that long and then not want it any more. My old dog lived for 17 years and when we lost her I grieved more than I have for some people I've lost.

Thank you for this I hadnt realised the new mugs were on offer.
I've bought several of the others with this offer :) and really pleased with them, so might just buy a few more and stash away for birthday pressies :)

  • Hi my oldest dog is nearly 15 now and showing the sign's but I would never let him go...he's my baby...and my oldest cat I have had for 14 year's and the vet said he was about 2 years then...a stray...and is sadly showing sign's of oldness infact I don't think we'll have for much longer he has gone so thin and weak the vet said he's just old make him comfortable and give him whatever he wants to eat and see how he goes...so he is getting very pampered at the moment...but I suppose when the time come's it come's and there's nothing you can do but to make them comfy...sad really...
