    Hi

i am looking to attach a christmas wreath to my front door in december, but the problem is i have a glass door, so drawing pins wont work!! has anyone got any other ideas please? I havent brought it yet as im not sure how i will fix it on.

    cheers
In past years, in Homebase, and probably other similar stores, I've seen proper door wreath holders, which are metal and curve up at one end (wreath end) and the is shaped to hook over the door. Probably cost you £3/4 ish? Might be cheaper in other places though.

86 days to go people and plans are coming together! This month's Prima (which landed on my doorstep yesterday) had its Christmas pull out guide with recipes, decorations and gift ideas! I'm starting to get in the mood!!

www.hawkin.com do a kit £4.99 for six crackers. p + p extra unless you have a Hawkin's Bazaar near you. The other way round if you just want to put your own presents inside is to buy a packet of crackers open and empty them and replace with items of your choice.

I bought cracker kits last year from Hobbycraft, I think they were a few pounds each for 6 crackers. Also, I have seen the components on ebay more cheaply if buying in bulk. I made crackers for my business last year to give away as a promotional type thing - it was lots of fun :)

Suction cups! I used a suction cup to hang my wreath last year as we had a upvc door - you can get them in asda, b&q etc in the crimble aisle - the ones I got were for hanging outdoor crimble lights. I think it was about 99p a packet.

 Arghhh, just lost my long post.... Thank you for the motivational thoughts, I managed to wrap 25 presents in three hours:eek: and I remembered to write a list what's in them. Sometime soon , closer to Christmas my beloved husband will utter the words...erm, what have got for my brother, sister, uncle, friends etc...

My DS and DD will wrap their teachers/schoolfriends presents. I bought really nice giftbags in order to avoid severe overuse of sellotape. I do not usually buy from catalogues but Studio had some really good offers this time. I bought 12 Christmas mugs ( comes with 12 free sideplates) for under £10, children will fill these with sweets and hot choc sachets. These will be gifts for their friends/teachers, at least if they do not like them, they can be put away after the festivities:p .

Now I'm looking forward to all the Christmas fayres. Ohh, that reminds me... Someone gave me a recipe for a cake that lasts a year and I promised to bake two for my children's school Christmas fayre. I'll let you know how they turned out... I will try to bake them soon just in case the results are disasterous.

Christmassy thoughts to all, I will make a cup of tea now and look smugly upon my 25 wrapped presents.

I was in Somerfield yesterday and noticed they have enormo tins of quality street for £4.99 reduced from £9.99 just now.

Also on www.aquarterof.co.uk they are selling Wispas - remember them! My friend and I were just talking about how much we missed them recently and so I bought her a stack of them for Christmas to tie up in a big bundle - it's a great site for retro sweeties - ideal in a box, or mug or something.

    Hi

I know someone mentioned gold coins earlier in this thread - just to let you know, Aldi have some at the moment (and silver ones). They are in bags and about 60p if I remember rightly.

Just to say that we normally have a wreath on our front door and ours is glass, I brought a big hook that hooks over the door, you can buy from them from pound shops.

I think a walk down the shop may be in call for, been a while since I brought Prima. Is this Oct issue? Just so I know what I'm looking for at the shop.
