I too am an early start with Christmas. I got my first present back in Jan/Feb at Ashford Factory Outlet.
Got about 5 presents so far - all on sale! Also have all my cards apart for family and still have a lot of wrapping paper left, but I usually get stuff from the pound shop.
Got a nice lot of Tesco vouchers on the way to help with costing food and drink. Also got a good supply of lunch vouchers to help with this
Mum's saving through the milkman for bits and bobs, plus her Tesco vouchers.
So we're doing ok at the momentComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0 -
Yeah im due a nice lot fo tescos vouchers - not a massive haul but £7 at least which is alot for us plus i already have a £5 one so for a family who only spends £80 a month on food it will help with all our treats. Plus i work for a food coop who gives us £12 to spend in the shop as we like. Last year i had a joint of beef (£9 ) and two big boxes of maltesers(2 for £3) so im thinking this year i will get a big chicken (£4) a bag of spuds (£1.40) bag of carrots (80p) bag of sprouts (80p) triple pack of custard (£2) boxes of maltesers (2 for £3) so thats basically my christmas dinner done and a box of sweetiesfor us to enjoy.Time to find me again0

I just wanted to say thanks to Sammy, although I haven't actually BOUGHT anything for christmas yet I've started making plans for what to get for everyone (which for me do be doing in August is a turn up for the books!). I've had a few freebies with more on the way, and I'm saving them all up to put little hampers together as extra gifts for people, but I've started keeping eyes peeled in shops for things on sale which I can make use of towards christmas pressies.0

Oh dear I have been sucked in and it's only just August!!
I would like to put together a gardener's/gardening kit for my BIL - he is very keen and likes to grow his own veg/herbs etc and isn't so interested in flowers! Any ideas as to what I could put into his plant pot?0 -
Check out Woolworths. They had some half-price seeds in their sale. Vegetables and flowers.0

Go to a big tesco near you! They are reducing all their garden stuff right now and you can get some right bargains! Get gloves, seeds, plant markers, and anything else they might have that takes your fancyDFW Nerd #025DFW no more! Officially debt free 2017 - now joining the MFW's!

A few years ago my mum gave me a "baking/cooking set" that she had made up for me. I'd just moved intomy first house and had my first baby and wanted to start baking etc so it was a fab present for me! It had a pretty egg timer, rolling pin, pastry brush, loads of other "useful" things as well as some unusual things like a cake tester (basically a metal skewer with a pretty handle!) and a "pinch" measuring spoon. It's tiny and so sweet! She got lots of really good things just by keeping an eye out when she was out shopping and some bits she bought back from French hypermarkets that only cost her pennies!
I think it was a brilliant present and I sure your sister would love it and definitely apreciate it!Joined SW 24/02/2011 :j71lb/28.5lb-6, -2.5, -2, -1, -2 -, -2 sow, +3(holiday), -5.5 (*) +0.5, +1, -4, -0.5(*), -3(10%!!) +0.5, -3, -1, -1(2st:j)
