Because the weather has been so horrid and I have been forced to stay indoors, I have made all my Xmas cards (150) and made a load of birthday cards too. I have made several gift boxes ready for jewelry, cds, books, sweets etc (and am inspired by the other postings to make some homemade sweets instead of hitting Thorntons). The xmas cake will be made in September (plenty of time to mature and be fed lots of brandy ;)) and I've been buying presies throughout the year. Have saved all reward points from Sainsburys and put a fiver a week away since beginning of January so Xmas big food and booze shopping will feel 'free'. :D

SAHARAROSE - Organized christmas is a website that basically helps you map out hte run up to christmas and helps you be prepared for it - most people are still their on January 1st plannign the next chrsitasm - ive been a member for about 2 years now and feel so prepared for it that im not actualyl fearing christmas anymore. They have helpful forums on decorating, sweet making, ideas to make the holidays special etc etc and it is a really good useful site - it actully links to organized home site which is liek a fly lady spin off but is more planning instead of nagging (which i found the flay lady site to be) plus if your on there make sure you swing by the uk forum (very bottom of the forum page) and say hi to Christmas_chick84!!!!.......................................................................................................TINE - definately chick ill email it to you - only problem is my computer seems to be stroppign with me at the mintue so i may have to take a trip to the library to access my email account but ill send it asap if you drop me your email. if anyone else wants the pattern just beep me!!................................................................................KINGSHIR - well done you!!! Im creative but can not do cards to save my life so well done you getting them all done. This year my creative thing is rag garlands - im doing a couple in white becasue i really want to have a snow theme this year (thank you organized christmas again) and i find tinsel can be quite cold so im making some material garlands to hang everywhere.
    Time to find me again

    hi everyone
i have a lot of presents hidden away ready for the big day.
i have been saving £10.00 a week all year and i recently started making a winnie the pooh rug for my DGS' bedroom.
it really takes the stress out of it all if you are organised.

    I've been Money Tipped!
The yarn for DH's handknitted jumper arrived yesterday, so that's my challenge for the next few months.

OOh what are rag garlands? They sound fab, how do you make them? I hate tinsel so garlands sound really good!:santa2:

    Thanks!

    thanks guys - I'm very excited :D

Can't belive how organised you all are! I thought I was doing well until I read all your posts!

I did a hamper last year, think I can make a better attempt this year - perhaps a good idea for sil and her fiance full of housey things like tea towels and yummy food etc.

BTW - was in boots at lunchtime and they have lots of reduced gifty things - worth having a wee look if you are near one.
