They said on Saturday that the resort had agreed to sell them
the room i need to connect.
She said she would call me Monday... I called them yesterday
and she said she is just waiting on confirmation..
I hate waiting.,... especially when this is their fault... I just
feel for anyone who books this hotel as a family and told they
could get connecting rooms when First Choice dont even have
these types of rooms on their contract with the hotelComping & Coupons!0 -
demented housewife i had a problem with thomsons a few years ago now different scenario to yours though.T A kept telling me thomsons were dealing with my problem, i was also phoning thomsons customer services. like yourself we were getting near to travel. in the end i had to contact trading standards and got good advice ( not sure if they could help you though if your connecting room was only a request and nothing in writing, but might be worth a try), in frustration i parked myself in the travel agents and settled into their chair and stayed put, telling them i wasnt going to leave without answers. any customers entering the shop... i made sure they could hear what i was saying about the treatment i was getting from thomsons. it seemed to do the trick. i must have had at least a month of being fobbed off previous to this with promises that it was being dealt with!0

Thats my next approach...
I did try that yesterday...went into town at 9am but they were
shut till 10am as they were doing some staff training...
They wouldnt open the door and just waived me off...
If i dont get a call back tomorrow.... im going to go into branch
on Friday morning...

hope you get it sorted asap. when i parked myself in the shop they where still trying to fob me off, saying they could not get through to whoever they needed to and would let me know later what was happening.. staying calm but firm i insisted they phoned whoever they needed to phone to get me some answers i told them i had taken day off work so i was quite happy to stay in the shop all day if need be! i had morning paper/ magazine and settled down to read, they got on the phone straight away.
in this day and age how long should it take for confirmation by e-mail or fax??? good luck0 -
I would bear in mind the time difference if it is Caribbean you are looking at. If they ned to call them up no point in going to TA at 9am....0

I did say to the TA Shop Manager...
That i have 8 wks till we fly... and thats 8wks of me constantly
ringing her and going into shop
Ill even take all 3 of my kids after school next week if i dont
