Afternoon everyone, how are you all today?
Kat, I :rotfl: when I saw what the site sensor did with all your innocent comments about pu55y cats!! At least, I assume that's what you were typing :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Glad Day 1 went well killer. Not sure about Windows 8  I hate when new things get introduced. I kinda like things to stay as they are (although I'm all for progress).
I love the last week of the month when payments start trickling in. Tomorrow is Payslip day so I'll know how much can be allocated to the next debt on my list!
Still got a few (hmm, most really) Christmas presents to buy, and I'll allocate a bit of money to spend when I have family visiting just before Christmas and the rest will go towards the Santander Loan. I clearly remember getting my statement for this loan last December and it was just below £5k (having spent it's life hovering around that mark as I only paid the minimum payment) so I'm determined to kill it before we reach 2013!
Can't wait to see what you have planned for us in December Kat. I've really enjoyed NOvember (Huh? Enjoyed? Clearly crazy!) and I think for 2013 I'll do a hard core month followed by a slightly softer month. I've only had one day off so far in November, which is fine short term but cleary not sustainable. I have another year to go after this 450 day challenge so I don't want to burn myself out. I'll need you to turn this into a savings diary once you're debt free so that you can keep me on the straight and narrow!
Got to dash to the Post Office now since someone just bought an ebay item and I think a friend's coming over this evening - making a chickpea curry so I'll make enough for 2 (actually, I'll make enough for 4 and freeze the rest!).
Hope you all get home from work without getting too wet (take extra care kat!).0 -
LOL! I was talking about pu55y cats!! How funny! Killer glad you have a nice team - a bit of teasing around the office sounds like they are light-hearted.
I am super tired at the moment but at work until 1930... I will hope to get home in one piece and get DDD going...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Wish there was a "like" button for certain comments! I am so excited to see what DDD will be all about Kat and intrigued by the £3 you were talking about spending?

Seriously, I find that I tend to lurk cos I am awake at funny hours and miss all the conversation. But I find you all very motivating on here and the November thread, and have been thinking about my spending and stuff, and you have encouraged me to start selling again on ebay. So thank you all, and good luck in your endeavours!
Lilo
I think everyone misses at least some of the conversation at some point, it's still nice to see someone (you *cough*) update :P What are your thoughts about spending at the moment?
Hi everyone! Day two down! Now to survey, give job my details and print out my references, work needs them. But less than 1 month to payday!
Siouxsie: I think you should definitely go for the long game, while getting your debt away quickly would be good, if you change your permanent habits now then in the future saving should be easier. From lurking on this board, there are so many instances where people have tried to go "cold turkey" for a long time and end up falling back into bad habits.
Kat: Wow you have a long day : (
Happy:Yay for fixing your energy! yay!0 -
Evening all.
I am sitting freezing my bum off with a hot water bottle trying to have one day without heating. Hard when the temp monitor in babys bedroom says 15 degrees :eek::eek: she has a gro-bag & 3 blankets over her though, so she should be fine!! Feeling super sorry for myself as I have a cold so I think I shall be going to bed early tonight.
Getting excited for DDD Kat. Although I think I shall fail miserably!! I really let things go at the end of this month & have had 2 trips to the supermarket for a couple of bits and spent £20 both times
Onwards and upwards though. Ticking off all my christmas presents. I only need to get my nan a picture of her great grandaughter printed & pop into the lovely half price frame I bought with some of my boots points, couple of vouchers for the niece and nephew & we are DONE!

Goodness!!!! It's payday tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! Well payday number 3 for me this week. Ridiculous money coming in this week. Child benefit, tax creds, my maternity pay, my overtime, OH pay...
Time to get on the spreadsheets to work out everything...
BTW my Lloyds TSB internet banking has this amazing money manager which tells me what I spend everything on... but also sets me out a wee calendar and tells me when my DD's etc are coming out in the month ahead..!how cool?
