  • Yay Annie!!! Awesome about ebay.

OMG Happy what an amazing amount of money you have paid off!! That is sooooooooo good!

I am so peeved right now. Some silly person bid on an item my OH put on ebay, with 1 minute to go... He then mails to say he didn't read it properly and it isn't the one he wanted... really sorry blah blah. Well don't you worry mate, I'll just relist the damn thing and wait another week... Not to mention the cancellation and whether we get fees back or not... hopping angry!!!

  • Lilt I hate it when people do that..really really annoys me!! Am so sorry for you - anyone else bid on it that you could mail and offer it to them instead..?

  • Several people bid but I think I might relist it on a 5 day listing to end on Friday. Hopefully then it might sell for more as it was actually quite a low bid that won considering those that have gone before, very recently. Very annoying though :/

I've been exceptionally nice about it and explained what needs to be done to him. Could do without negative feedback when I've only bought/sold 15 items altogether!!!

  • Lilt I think you are doing the right thing there - be nice and relist it! It will do better. My NSK paws are crossed!!

Just watching BBC 1 at the moment"Return to Forgotten Britain" - story about farmers in Britain who are squeezed to within an inch of there lives with milk quotas and very poor meat prices...

I know Hugh Fearnly Whats-His-Face worked up a palava about chickens and their eggs... to an extent I am refusing to buy supermarket eggs in any form... I am currently attempting to source a local farm..

However how many of us non-vegetarians are even more careful about our meat - eat British - and support the farmers..

My deep seated hatred of the SM and conglomerates is festering into wanting to make people avoid them altogether..

    Grrr... NSK rant over!!!

  • Hi ninja the secured loan will be paid off by 2014 if I stick to my ambitious saving plan. I want to make the best out of my money. I had a really good chat with oh and explained how I felt angry at our previous spreadsheet spends and our ability to fritter money that could have been well utilised elsewhere. Hindsights a wonderful thing. My saving plans don't include unsocial hour payments, bonus money and pay rises so anything extra will be a bonus to build up the savings.

Thank you for your comments regarding what I have paid so far in my eyes it should have been more :-/ that may appear strong worded but we have had some months where money has been spent stupidly! I've found that as the negative wealthy reduced my habit of stepping forward more and spending has increased. I need to refocus my energy and not think it will be a free for all when the secured loan remains otherwise I will be very annoyed lol.

Yay to the shoesales :-). I've Ebayed all things that I can but how annoying that people make bids and realise its a mistake. Utter time wasters xx

  • Haha thanks NSK. I hope it does better but to be honest it was OH who was disappointed. I personally think it's amazing that people actually pay money for these things! (FIFA online ultimate team player cards)... They aren't even something you can hold in your hand!!!

I know what you mean about eggs/meat/milk. I know a lot of farmers & I think it is ridiculous, the low prices they receive. I feel very guilty for buying my 3 for £10 meat in the supermarket, £1 for 4 pints of milk & a dozen 'free range' eggs for £1.98. When we are as badly off as at the moment though, I do tend to go for the cheaper things, though I have some standards...
