You are a girl after my own heart. Sure you can do it if you set your mind to it.
We bought this place with 6 acres to try to live the simple life. Growing our own veg, raising our own meat etc. Even down to eventually get the cow to have our own dairy.
Trouble is its expensive trying to set up "The Good life". and while we are treading water with our exisiting debts we will never get anywhere. Its going to be hard to reduce our debts with the amount that needs spending here, but a little at a time and we will get there.
Keep going Kat :T0 -
Hi everyone, well i'm home after a REALLY busy shift at the call centre, DH and DS have gone up to Croydon for the weekend so its just me and the cats until about 9pm tomorrow!! I have lots of housework I should be getting on with but instead am vegging on the sofa watching the first Twilight film which is on the Skybox and am going to see what all the fuss is about!
I am also very proud to say I resisted going to Tescos just to use up my conditional spend vouchers, as I was only going to be spending for the sake of it and my freezer and cupboards are bulging! I have a left over roast chicken in the fridge so will make a concoction with it for tea! So very pleased to announce a NSD day today!!!!Nov NSD: 8/7 Dec NSD: 1/10Sealed pot member #1443 2011: £106. 2012: £171Ninjakat challenge: Aim to clear two debts by April 2013100 day challenge: No toiletries or magazines 19/100 (3 x fails)

Anyway, hi everyone. I'm a foul !!!! mood, the ex sent back my stuff today including the first real gift I gave him. I bought him summer ball tickets (£50+ and my own!) and while it was amazing there were little fate things where I won him this dumbarse blue dog. He could have just throw it away rather than send it to me.
Good luck with all the money saving/making/shuffling everyone. I will be back when I'm not wanting to punch people.
Yes it does taste sooo much nicer (probably why we have to pay £1.09 a litre for the stuff!)0 -
Hi Happy! Well I gave up on Twilight and instead watched Thursdays epidsode of the Young Apprentice and then Philadelphia which has been on my sky box since January! Bonjour all
Annie I got disenchanted with Twilight partway through. Sparkly vampires indeed... Lol. It doesn't help that the 2 main characters are played by actors with the charisma of a potato. (Pattinson & Stewart)
Tonight I made the littlie turkey breast mince, with a teeny touch of tarragon & garlic, blitzed in with potatoes and carrots. Smelled amazing, tasted better... she meanwhile pulled all the sick faces in the world and retched every time I put some in her mouth (having first pried it open). Ah well, she isn't a fan of chicken either. I can't be too displeased, she had the MSE awareness to be allergic to dairy like her mummy so now that she is weaning onto formula, the doctors prescribe her a special one... Free for me, a saving of £40+ per month!
My dinner is cooking, homemade turkey & stuffing burgers yumyumyumyum!!
Happy I hope against hope for your husbands bonus!! And come on, stop with the savings talk, join me in May debt free-ness!!well, unsecured debt anyway!!!! x

Hi lilt yes when ohs bonus comes in i will commit to the dfw for may lol its pretty addictive. We have been discussing the secured loan and with it been 4% over 30 years its better for us to save up ourselves and pay it off in a few years rather than getting a loan for said amount and paying higher intrest lol. I have spreadsheet fever i have numerous spreadsheets saved for each occassion lol i know i am mental....xx
This weather makes me feel a tad fed up maybe i have sad syndrome lol xx

Hey all!
Boring day at work for me, although I have spent nothing so NSD for me yey! Wife cooked me a bit of steak as a treat which is hard as she is currently off food and has been for a while.
Praying for everyone's bonus including my own(although very small and currently unallocated which is worrying)
Steph- 6 acres sounds fantastic would love that myself. Currently got a 30ft garden with a couple of beds for vegetables where my broccoli , onions and cabbage are currently growing in and a lot of Strawberry plants
Hopefully planning on some chickens ourselves early next year. Managed to get hold of an old wooden Wendy house for free that we are converting into a chicken coop. Free eggs and fertiliser for the garden
Be good0 -
I have spreadsheets for the money I make on surveys, when the money hits one of my accounts, the money I've spent and the budget I think I will be keeping in the next few months. So keeping spread sheets isn't that bad is it? Ha ha. I'm hoping to keep track of my savings for my different projects (learning to drive, getting insurance, getting a car, saving for a masters, investments, etc) so I can't see my spreadsheet habit failing me soon.0
