  • Kat: I don't even have a learner's permit ha ha! I have Fibromyalgia http://www.nhs.uk/conditions/fibromyalgia/pages/introduction.aspx which essentially means I'm hypersensitive and in pain all the time and everything is painful to do. And I'm very tired all the time. But I'm lucky really, I can walk, talk, think (most of the time), type and all the things that are important. I struggle with stairs, cooking, walking quickly, picking up anything heavy, etc but I can push my sister-in-law around town, I don't have arthritis or cancer, never broken a bone and haven't had any surgery. I'm the cheapest person in my family for the poor old NHS. :rotfl:

I feel for you with your Fibro, a friend of mine suffers from it and it is a daily struggle, it must be so hard for other people to understand as it doesnt show as an 'obvious' illness xx

Thanks. : ) It's not too bad getting people to understand with me, I ask them not to touch my neck, someone does then I collapse and no one ever grumps at me. :rotfl: I actually only have a problem with people older than me, teenagers in the main are very accommodating when I ask for a seat, someone over 30 not so much, people over 65 have been known to actually try to hurt me to see if I'm lying. Obviously not true of everyone though.

ETA: I hope your friend is able to cope though (submitting before finishing... oh dear..)
  • Killer thank you for sharing... I am going to have a wee look over that info page. May I suggest you carry a can of hair-spray / air freshener / dog-flea spray with you ( mace is apparently illegal ) and spray in the eyes any such person that wishes to "check" your pain threshold.... I cannot believe that!

My friend has EB... a skin disorder that, when serious, the skin blisters and renders her bed ridden and unable to move. She is registered disabled but "looks" perfectly normal.. she has to use a disabled bay when shopping and can only get around in shoes that don't rub her feet.. in summer these mean strappy sandals. Imagine the abuse she gets as she is cute and blond - apparently this means lazy... its hereditary and her mum actually took to limping to stop people asking questions...

Killer I like your attitude - the rest of us need to sit back and be thankful we can walk, talk etc as you said... however I think you are allowed a lazy day - we all do now and then...CAUSE YOU AREN'T ALLOWED TO GO OUT AND SPEND MONEY...:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

The driving license took 4 years for me, so bad my "provisional" ran out twice, I lost one as well.. failed my test twice.. third time I couldn't do it as I couldn't find the counter part... 4th time I passed, and goodness knows how much money.... motorbike test took 8 days. I know what I was born to do ...RIDE!!!!

Sholly you are allowed to join in here for sure... its a little more friendly here than the NOvember whip-cracking thread..:D How much are you wanting to clear by the way?? Spill the beans..( then clear 'em up and put up on toast...arf arf )...

And just so you know - you are all now part of the Ninja Cult...:p

Thank you!! Don't spill the beans...I need them!! ;) I've updated my signature - so that I remember and you can keep an eye on me!! :p I have £6,843.83. Luckily, I'm paying the £95 balance from my Barclaycard this month, the rest is on a 0% card which runs to December 2013 so I'm not too worried. I just need to get rid of it especially because I want to be mortgage-free by 30th June 2018, my son's 10th birthday. It's all about the targets :D
