  • I don't have many thoughts to impart on how to make £110 appear out of nowhere. You are after all the queen of this, so I am sure you have it handled/have your counterfeiter primed and ready to go ;)

I just wanted to drop in after a long while absent from the forums and let you know my jaw is hanging down around my ankles at your debt busting. And at the stories of other people like myself who picked up your thread October 2012 and ran with you all the way. I'm debt free, Stoplurking is most of the way there, and there are countless others inspired by you and well on the way to becoming debt free if they aren't already there!

I'm incredibly proud of you; you have scaled some serious obstacles with such a can-do attitude, boundless energy and extreme willpower. NSK for Prime Minister, screw Russell Brand! :D:D

I will be dropping in and out. My spending, whilst not out of control has definitely taken a chunk out of would-be savings. However I need to get back on the bandwagon as a mostly single mummy now sadly. I've got to be prepared and organised.

    Hugs to you.

    Take care! Lilt

Oh Lilt! This make me sad! I am so sorry! If you ever want to chat about it drop me an email... ninjasavingkat@gmail.com... I am sure it's super private and heart-breaking but sometimes it's easy to off load to someone you don't know..Thank you for your kind words and support. I think you and Jellytot have added something amazing to my journey...Biggest Hugs for you!! x x x

Fingers crossed you get the right answer today. I keep thinking about you and only two weeks or so till you are debt free. So exciting and a wonderful achievement for you. X

Gosh Kat, Europe's "The Final Countdown" was on the radio this morning when I was coming home from work and I had a moment where I was super excited for you, being in your final countdown! Had to turn it up and sing along like a loon :D

  • Good Morning Diary Peeps....

I have a dilemma. To recap.... in March I bought a dress for a ball. This was from Lily Allen's store in Soho called Lucy in Disguise. I returned the dress within a few days ( it's a vintage piece ) due to the damage on the dress being over and above an acceptable level of damage on a second hand dress. It cost me £155. I was given a store credit note. Lesson learned.

Now there are reports in the media that her store has gone under, about to close it's door and I am heading there after work today in order to purchase something to get my money's worth.

    I have two options.......
    1. Buy something that fits me, bolster my hideously boring wardrobe with items that maybe aren't vintage but will add some pizazz so I don't have to consider buying anything else enxt year when I am creeping towards my "travel leave date". Perhaps a leather jacket, a nice skirt and a !!!!!-bow blouse....
    2. Buy something amazing that possibly won't fit me ( I am not the best shape to cater for when looking for vintage wear ) and put it on Fleabay and hope for the best - that I might get all my money, none of my money or less of my money back...
I think it makes more sense to buy something for myself but I HATE being rushed when it comes to clothing, hate being cajoled into only spending in one store and hate the idea that if I don't buy something today they won't be there tomorrow...Grr!!!

But there you go. Dilemma number 1 of the day.

I shall also be heading to get my passport pictures taken for my Aussie certificate. My drivers license has come back and I need to get the picture signed and I think I am good to go. That will cost $60 but I am covered for that. I just have fingers crossed that it comes back before I fly home to NI as I want to get my actual passport application off as well.

Cakey bakey sale today in the Oriface for the Phillippines disaster. Amazing how many hungry grown men are lurking around....

I have hit the spreasheet today with a big stick. Staring, calculating, poking and prodding.
    • I currently have £173 on the CC.
    • Putting £500 away for a house move to make life in January a lot easier.
    • £100 for food for the month most of which to spend at home home.
    • £50 miscellaneous spending...(some for home as well)..
    • £100 - for home which would be pressies or food.
That leaves me with £97. This will cover my certificate fee ( about £40 ) , passport picture prices and possibly a little left over for a voucher for Whole Foods as my girlfriend is having her birthday on Sunday and she's a little chef so I want to get her something nice....which has to go on the CC...:o

    Right I shall update later..........
