Afternoon Guys:wave:, Hope your enjoying this err wet day!! Thanks once again for letting me join. Im excited at the thought of not owing anyone anything by the year end. The repayments will be around £1118.22 (ive already used my May salary to finish my car note) I think I can do it if i seriously tighten my belt and get really cozy with those NSD & ebay...its time to get creative.. Sadly I dont get overtime so my plan is to cut down on expenses to the bone minimum, swap nights out for nights in & winw for lemonade...I know theres a super scrimper in me somewhere waiting to be unleashed lol!:rotfl:
Today I went to the bank to change my account from a package one to basic, I also surrendered my season ticket loan figured I could use that money (£400approx) to paydown my credit card and start making use of my bike (its only 40 mins ride to work...there and back) ...thanks unicorns for the idea... a slinky body to go with your healthy finances I love it!:j my plan for June is to payoff at around £1000 for june not included tfl refund._pale_

So - over the course of the month I have seen my face dissipate into a spotty mess of uneven texture, rough spots, and general all round disgustingness.. with all this concentrating on money my grey hair has taken a turn for the worse and thsoe novelty two-three strands are epic in comparison. My mother went grey quite young and the hair dye I used to use is £6.99 a pop.. I have since bought cheaper stuff that doesn't cover my greays as well - so... plans are afoot.
I need to sort my skin out, remember to take my tablets, invest in a good scrub ( love Suki Lemon Scrub from LoveLula ) and moisturise. My body is neglected somewhat as well (need a good body moisturiser )... and my hair (needs a good deep condition)... see what's happening here. I am turning into one of THOSE women who are such scrimpers that nothing is spent on beauty-fel me..
I am currently checking prices, wondering what I can squeeze in order to get some products...

Hello,
Just popping in to say feel free to tell me off Kat, I know it was naughty, but in the grand scheme of things it felt very therapeutic.
Anyway enough of the spending (promise) as my new dmp payments will clear my debt in 1 year and 5 months approximately which is beyond 2013 so inevitably I've just given myself more work to do.
Instead I will keep exercising as my main focus now and I am doing well luckily today isn't a scheduled cycling day.
Hello Shelby and glad the cycling idea rubbed off and will help save lots of pennies, its getting quite addictive the healthier I feel myself getting, the hills I once had to dismount and walk up are no longer an issue plus saving on using the car
Happy 30th birthday DST!!!! There are a lot of us pretty similar in age on here
Bye for now guys xMFW 2018/19 #55 target: £6,847.26/ £500 paid0 -

EDV Penne - 30p (Just checked - spaghetti is £0.19)

Tinned mixed Taco beans - 55p (could you make your own chilli style sauce & get dried beans so you could eke more out of it?)
You need some broccoli or spinach in this... Something dark and leafy green. Will help with your skin too
I feel like I have neglected myself too. Have a house FULL of products though thanks to birthdays & post debt free treats. Face like a rice krispie is not helping matters but I need to get back into some semblance of a routine.
Thanks for the best wishes Shelbi! I am hoping to feel a lot better soon. I'd settle for feeling rubbish and looking good right now though!
Have arranged to view a house tomorrow. Well within budget, perfect for what we need, with enough space & a big grassy garden. A bit before we wanted to move really but it looks like the best thing by far that I have seen come onto the market, so will grasp it with both hands if necessary. We have the money to move but it will deplete savings somewhat if we decide to go for it. Cross your fingers it's the perfect house for us!

Lilt I have spagetti on the list for next week - you are right. I think I will change it to spagetti this week too. The dried beans are a good idea.. might add a carrot to them as well and perhaps one potato.. Okay I will see what they have but am worried about price and them not being mixed. Nothing more horrid that a kidney bean burger...:rotfl::rotfl:however there are mixes available - thank you Lilt!
Good grief I am tired now though..“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Bless you - cuddle up with that lovely moggy & have a nice nap. Please don't make yourself ill with all this overtime. This is why you need more substantial food! I hope when you get food provided at work it's good stuff & solid
I just saw those bags of beans for the first time. I'd never have thought of looking and dried pulses except for lentils so was a shot in the dark. If you got one of black eyed beans and one of kidney beans you could mix them? At 99p per each you could make a heck of a lot more food than the tin - which would last me all of 1 meal... I know you have to factor in passata or tinned tomatoes plus the chilli (& potato & carrot...)
Really think the approved food order has to be done, especially as you have someone to share the delivery cost with. Stock up on rice, pasta, noodles & beans.
I know this is a long long boring thought but have you thought of making your own fresh pasta? I have had quite a few attempts with mixed results. Its just flour & eggs!
My favourite thing to bake is these. I most often bake them without the coconut or the cherry. Started doing them in baking class at school with my mums seriously old and beaten up be-ro cookbook which was basically just a pamphlet! I used to have to make 2 batches. One to take home, and one for everyone in the class/subsequent classes to eat. If I made 1 batch, nothing came home! Take 5 minutes to make, 15 minutes in the oven... deeeeeeeeeelicious. And as an exercise I had to work out the cost per biscuit - 3.1p!

Lily they look AMAZING! Coconut would be essential for me.. Checking out beans tonight but will rummage the yellow sticker bin for veg first.. Means I'll have more pennies to play with. Have carrots and turnip at home from the veg bag I got last week- needs to be used up and might do instead of a Potatoe.

Ooh, what did you buy Kat? I agree with lilt, more greens! You can buy a big bag of spinach or kale for about £1 (although I noticed Asda have just put their kale up to £1.20...still good for you though!!) and it chops up and goes in everything! Ooh, and broccoli's my favourite food ever (well, after chocolate) and if you can't find that yellow stickered, buy it loose - break off the bits you want before you get it weighed and discard the huge stalks that weigh it down and you would probably not eat anyway and it's quite cheap. The cherry tomatoes are expensive aren't they? Hope you can find some yellow stickered ones!
Happy Birthday DueSouthTwin2 Hopefully you're busy celebrating just now and won't have time to read this, but your :bdaycake: will still be here in the morning

I think you need to right click on the desktop screen, then click on personalise and you should get to the control panel and then that will say something like "see also taskbar and start menu" click on that and follow the instructions

MORNING!!
Wowzers! I actually managed to get up. I am at work, breakfast hasn't filled me much so I might have half of a massive muffin that was in yesterday's lunch pack ( Siouxsie it's picnic food - apples so bad someone collected everyones discarded fruit for her horses )... but the muffin is mah-hoosive! ...
Anyway... Mr T was successful I think. The yellow sticker area was poor at that time of night, and I substituted the porridge oats and sultanas for a bag of baby spinach. I have Lilt's voice in my head and had to get some..:T
So the list is this...
Spagetti - 19p
Tinned Toms - 31p
Crumpets - 37p
Honey - 99p
Yellow sticker Pinenut and Pesto Pasta x 2 - 44p each. (440g each)
Quorn fillets £1.55 (with discounted coupon )
Cherry Toms - 98p
6 eggs - 87p (never happy about buying cheap eggs)
Yellow sticker potatoe's - 50p
1 red onion - 12p
1 courgette - 46p..
Baby spinach - £1.20
Total - £8.42
I shall be eating brown rice and honey for breakfast for the next 3 days. I have a pine nut pasta tub on a bed of spinach with baby toms on top for dinner last night as they were out of date today ( so yummy).. the other has been brought with me as the sandwiches / kitkat / crisps and manky apple are not enough. Brough spinach to mix through it too.
Siouxsie I LOVE broccoli too.. lightly salted and barely cooked. I stupidly bought a book once called "gourmet vegetarian" - ingrediants are too expensive.. but one dish was sauteed broccoli in boiling hot soy sauce and sprinkled with toasted almond flakes.. YUMMY!!! ..saw a little old man once breaking off the stem... he looked at me and said "well if I am not going to eat it I am not going to pay for it".. I break the stems not everytime..
I am usually too tired to eat when I get home but am going to research whats foods will help my skin.. I am cutting back on cheese (haven't had any for three weeks) as although it doesn't cause skin problems it certainly doesn't help.. I may look into soya milk for a month as well although its a little rank...:rotfl:and I need to cut back on the sugar in my tea anyway..(can't drink tea without sugar, easier not to have it at all )..
So there you go - my pennies are gone for the month. £80 was hard. £50 is going to be very hard. I will be investing in those beans that Lilt points out but I have yet to see a lot of GOOD food on Approved Food. Even pasta at 2 for £1 is not as cheap as Tesco and I have no storage space. I was on there recently and don't want to spend money on items for the sake of it. I keep an eye on it but supermarket own brands and bulked with fruit and veg is what I ultimatly want..
So enough from me...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
