Cheering you all on from the sidelines.
Just about to take big leap myself with debt clearance and work issues so I'm picking up lots of tips.
Had to laugh about your cat, the litter tray and its position and your cats timing.:rotfl:
Hello there - and WELCOME! We talk about such serious things like ISA's all the way down to puddy-tats antics and most importantly Lilts baby (aka Jellytot) mastering the skill of walking unaided!!!
Tell us a bit about yourself - debt levels and why you want to clear them now! It's a massive leap but it gets addictive and before you know it you will be scouring the floor like me and Siouxsie for discarded pennies!!! Or leaving on lentils.
However Puddy-Tat..(MSE won't let me use an "s" there) was kind and her timing did not coincide with me falling into a slumber. She has though cultivated a distinct hatred of the sound of the "odour eater" spray being used.... like for like! :rotfl:“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. This is why I have the utmost respect for people who are attempting to do this with not-so-compliant OH's! :rotfl:..I do appreciate, encourage and cheer your sneaky behaviour though. One day he will wake up to lentils, beans, herbs from his own windowledge and won't know what happened...:T:T:T“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. MySupermarket just emptied my basket. Rats! Gonna have to try again with foods - at least I printed the last one off to paruse and check against!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. I used to live on £10 a week in my first year at uni but I wasn't healthy. I ate once every two days (don't feel hunger due to minor brain damage) and even then ate around 1000 calories in a day. My meals used to be a tin of beans or a double egg sandwich or (very occasionally) some pasta. But then I never got below a size 8.
Talking of ISAs, MINE HAS BEEN FULLY SET UP! Well excited. : ) Annnnnd it's payday tomorrow!
Hey DST! How's it going?
I don't know that asda did furniture O: *snoops*0 -
Yellow sticker baps..
One with peanut butter
One with homemade bean burgers, quorn slice and soft egg..
Yellow sticker leaves with lemon juice and oil..
Home made lemon drizzle
Home made banana and sultana mini muffin..
Silverskin onions and
TEA!!!
I am so tired this was about all I could muster the energy for...
UP early tomorrow so off to bed... sleep well folks..“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. I can see MEALS!!! Much much better. I can at least plan some food with that when glancing at it rather than thinking hmmm she's going to eat half a kiwi and a bowl of porridge for every meal  Well done you for stretching the imagination & money!
Peaty what a disastrous diet you seem to have had at uni you poor mite. I hope sincerely it didn't do you any real damage & that you eat better at home with your family!. My younger sister has a paralysed stomach & is tube-fed basically due to enjoying the effects of her serious bodily neglect for many years.
YUMMMMMMMM!! Kat that looks a real treat - what a perfect egg!:D It looks enough to feed the five thousand so my mummy-dar has silenced for the time being after your first shot at a food budget set it wailing!
I should have been asleep hours ago as Jellytot shall have me up at around 3am with her teeth or lack of them & then again at around 6.30am for the day. I got suckered in to watching the last couple of Martin Lewis shows on the ITV player. I'm all about the credit scoring at the minute. Since finally getting my finances into order I have been trying to rebuild *sings Chris Brown ''I can transform ya''* my 'credit rating' a bit before doing the creditexpert majiggens. I applied via TCB last night for my credit report, netting £5.55 in the process & preliminary reports (prior to pin) suggest my CH is smack bang in the middle of excellent, but was parked somewhere around fair to middling not all that long ago. Considering I have a mortgage with an ex (in tremendous amounts of debt) who refuses to pay me money he owes me or get me off said mortgage on negative equity property, I am quite pleased!!:T:T
Now, off to listen to the rain lashing the window.
Sleep tight all x

Morning all.. Waiting for my bus to get into work.. Stupid weekend timings.. Don't feel as bad as I thought I would so getting to be at 9pm must have worked. Lilt glad the Mummy-dar has settled ..lol!.. The last basket was me not thinking properly! This current one excites me cause I have changed to foods I can work with. What possessed me to choose 30p penne over 19p spaghetti I'll never know..
But this has made me happier! I might 'treat' myself to some icing sugar make make very simple sugar filled biscuits for the week as a treat though.. We shall see!
#fingersfreezingwithoutglove
Peaty what a naughty diet! But I can see why you wouldn't bother though if u feel no need..you poor thing!!! If I'm not hungry I don't eat.. Drives Mummy NSK mad when I say that but doesn't quite tally with my eat-everything mentality when I go home! Lol! Peaty do you still not feel hunger? Did u ever get the hunger shakes or is that just me?..
Ok on bus now and gonna get sick...
EDIT : At work, settled, fed and still starving. Got two more portions of porridge left then I will be making rice pudding with sultanas and left over brown rice for the rest of the week. Muffins are being eaten two at a time as they are not big enough. (1 already gone)..
Lilt that first basket was me thinking in bulk.. but I can't live without fresh vegetables and fruit. I think it's best to have enough for a good week and then restock everything the following Monday. Dinner was lovely by the way...
Tell me more about your sister Lilt if you can... that must be a horrible existance for her...
Hope everyone has a good day .. not sure if I can continue to check in but I shall be reading!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. I get sick if I look down on buses, in cars & pretty much on any transport going! When I was pregnant I quite literall couldn't go anywhere in a vehicle, not even to the local shop, without being sick
I feel your bus pain! Haha
It is definitely a much better basket. I wonder if it might be of benefit to have one 'big' shop to get the big bags of staples in, followed by 3 smaller shops to add fresh food to it. I don't really see how you can spend any less, even just stocking up on fruit & veg mind you!
Ok, I don't really know how much I could explain about my sister truly. I wish I understood her. She has always been an attention seeking, somewhat pathological liar. She moved out of home when she was 14 by telling her boyfriend at the time -he was 2 years older than her- 's parents that my parents beat her, didn't feed her properly & so on. She continued in this vein, moving from boyfriends parents, to boyfriends parents until she finally got a flat of her own. That was where she stopped eating. There was finally no-one to cook for her. On the rare occasions she let me go to the flat, there would be a small loaf of bread, a pack of sausage rolls, some butter, marmite & super noodles in the house. That was her entire food for the week... every week. She met a man 14 years her senior, heavily into marijuana & started on that... stopped coming to see us as much, then announced she was getting married, invited everyone, made nieces and nephews of very tender ages bridesmaids etc... and then suddenly disappeared. She finally got in touch a couple of months later & informed my mum she was 'getting married in 4 weeks, & we don't want any of you there' - broke my parents hearts. If she had got married, then phoned, it would be different, but it was a calculated attempt to maximise the hurt. She got married and emailed us pictures. She wore a pyjama top, & a long flowing white skirt with some strappy sandals. He wore his usual jumper & jeans. It looked a sad affair especially as she must have weighed only 7 stone from her usual 11 or so.
From then onwards she isolated herself entirely from us (don't blame him, it was 90% her) & continued to drop weight and refuse to eat. She loved the consultants meetings, where she told them everything made her sick. She graduated from this, to looking up diseases and matching her 'symptoms' to them. She slowly got sicker & sicker as she starved her body of every nutrient, until one day her stomach just stopped working entirely. She's in a wheelchair & a very ill girl, more mentally than anything I think. I haven't spoken to her in nearly 4 years. I tried, when I got pregnant... but she ignored me. She doesn't know, to this day about Jellytot. I miss her, but I am not sure what I miss to be honest.
Sorry, long post.

Oh Lilt! What a sad story! I am so sorry you haven't had a proper sister. That is awful! Thank you for explaining to us - it's clearly a very painful period especially as she doesn't know about Jellytot never mind met her. It's amazing what our bodies put up with and then quite right stop trying.. Maybe one day she will turn around and realise what she has missed!
Regarding foor - you are right about a possible bigger shop but I am worried about getting to the last week of the month and only have pennies for porridge... I am really only needing to do this for June then might plan an Approved Food shop with DST. I am also very limited with where I can put stuff as the LLL hasn't given me adequate freezer space. I might add falafel mix and a can of beans and make some burgers again - they were yummy!!!
Vehicles - can't turn round, look down, read, turn head to talk to someone etc. It's awful. You feel like a fraud but one wrong move in a car will make me sick for the rest of the day! Ugh it's awful - can't begin to think what it would be like while carrying a Jellytot!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
