  • I've fallen for this scam, free trial and then charged £75.

Claiming not to have received the returned goods, and needing evidence of posting. Unfortunaltey I couldn't get postage or send recorded as it's in the Rep of Ireland - so has to go via airmail.

It's amazing how I got an email confirming cancellation but saying they didn't receive the product.

You have to read the T&C's very carefully - but still even £75 for two packet of these pills is outrageous.

As I've seen so many posts below on here now I'm going to actually write to Watchdog and see if they can investigate them. Please comment on my post if you wish to be involved.

They shouldn't be able to get away with it.

It is a SCAM because the T&C's are clearly in breach of Fair Contract Law as the 14 days money back guarantee cannot be realistically met. Go check consumer law Chameleon and as for your moniker it's no different to this company that pops up under different names every few years once they're been caught out.

But it is - if you look below at all the posts, they are saying that they haven't received the pills back? A little odd don't you think.
  • replied to this company about their free trial in december, we lost internet connection for a month, so by the time i checked my bank account they had taken £128.83, even though i had cancelled & got a ref number. I notified my bank 16th january not to give slimtone/body cleanse anymore money ... they then took money under the name herbal supplements!! my bank say they can change their name again and try to take money this month too!!! LEGALLY. the cc account has been cancelled since feb but they can still change their name & charge me, the bank have said hopefully slimtone/herbal will get sick of having to reimburse the bank and leave me alone!!!!!! and like all of you i can find no return address and the only phone number is automated. im really upset by the scam i should have known better but im shocked at the lack of protection from my bank.
  • Copied from my post number 129 above. Just to update - I cancelled my credit card and never bothered to return the items to some spurious address in Ireland. Have kept the products but to date (many weeks after signing up) have not heard another word from these low life people.

Received my package today and as with everybody else no letter or instructions for returning as is required under the Distance Selling Regs 2000. Noticed that the items had been sent via Royal Mail and the pre paid licence no was HQ23265. A little research via Royal Mail and discovered the licence is held by ; Pure Slim Limited, Unit 2, Watchmoor Trade Centre, Watchmoor Road, Camberley GU15 3AJ. 01276 682013

Just make sure you cancel your card and then just forget about it and get on with your life. Alternatively visit the above address with the front row of your local rugby team and ask to speak to either James or Erika Leon, directors.
  • I signed up to this and when I found out it was a scam I cancelled but opted to pay the discount price for both products, they have taken roughly £60 from my account and that is all they are meant to take! However I only received one email confirming the cancellation and not two so how can I trust them to take no more money? Also has this happened to anyone else and did they recieve the tablets? I'm a student and cannot afford this!

I tried this product trial for £2.49, and I even tried the clensing product as well for £2.49. Did nothing for me at all, and in fact I suffered a problem with it, so I tried to cancel by calling the supplied telephone number. Nobody there, just a machine giving out information. I tried for four days, and was not able to contact anybody. There is no address on the product? At this point I noticed a £75 and £37.50 charge against my credit card. I contacted my credit card company and as I'd tried to cancel within 14 days they gave me a refund of these charges.
The credit card company said that I was only entitled to a refund because I'd tried to contact the company within 14 days.
Thank you to the people who posted about this nasty scam.
    I hate things like this.
And, have you noticed the thousands of web sites that appear in a search for raspbetry ketone. You have to go to page 20+ on a google search to be able to find anything bad about this product "Free Trial" scam. Including this web page! Could it be that the company is swamping the internet with multiple web pages to ensure that all news is good news.
See the ASA upheld complaint about this product.

I have unfortunately had over a hundred pounds debited from my visa card. I cancelled my card immediately. The bank are submitting a charge-back, because i never received the products. I was on a totally unconnected site and went through an 'ad' which took me straight to form filling. There were no costs advertised or any t's and c's. I feel i have been so stupid. Its the first time I have been duped by a scam, but definitely the last. Most of us are only used to dealing with 'kosher' companies who clearly state their t's & c's with a contactable address and telephone number where you can speak to someone 'live' plus a trackable mailing system or at least the 'option' for one. I have tried emailing the company who keep asking me to confirm my address so that they can fulfill their side of this ridiculous transaction. Most companies only deal with you once they've received verification of your email back to them. This was never requested. They reckon they have sent me patches and bottles and everything-they havent! Their t's and c's are very unreasonable once you find them! They put the onus fully on the customer for everything. For instance if you do not receive your goods, you are to inform them within 7days so that they can give you a longer trial period! 7 days is not long enough to receive a parcel within the UK let alone from Ireland (yes Ireland-I just found that out) plus its untrackable. Once they've got your money, they do not need to rely on trackable mail or worry about whether you received it or not-it seems to me. Then there are all the anomolies like what happens if you suddenly get taken into hospital ill or you've had to go away? A professional company wants you to receive their products; usually has a reviews page; will do their utmost to help you. Keytone are getting one and possibly two time hits for large amounts of money off consumers, before consumers catch on and then its on to the next sucker. If their products were so amazing, they wouldn't need to sell in this way. I did not even know their products cost so much, if I had, I most likely wouldn't have signed up. Would anyone in their right mind pay over £100 for a lifestyle product if they had previously seen the 'amount' advertised? Unlikely. I was shocked at the price. Like myself, everyone thought they were signing up for a trial product to try like when you get a free sachet out of a magazine or something like that, not to be lynched and tied into hidden/fine print technicalities that consumers haven't had reasonable time to work out what's actually going on. It's online pickpocketing.

Sorry I find it difficult to understand how you can fall for such a ridiculous scam, I spose it shows with the right marketing you can make people pay money for anything crap.
  • Not very helpful Battleborn - 9 pages of testimony on a site which probably attracts a very very small percentage of the population. This shows what a sophisticated scam this is.

I repeat what I said earlier - cancel your card and forget about it. Don't bother sending the stuff back and certainly don't bother paying 50% or whatever.
