It is not a subscription. It is a scam. Tell your bank this. Don't be fobbed off by your bank, you have not signed up for a subscription. Yikes, how many more people will attempt to contact the company? They are uncontactable. Call your bank and act now.

It's not a scam, it's a subscription. The card issuer will be able to help as long as there has been an attempt to cancel the subscription.

I work for a bank, we don't fob people off. If people read what they were signing up for before entering their card details, no-one would have this problem.
  • Good news for a change. I thought I'd been ripped off too, but sent the products back within the 14 days and kept my receipt for payment from the post office (I didn't pay for a tracking service but would next time I had concerns about something like this). I emailed the company on Feb 1st and initially received an automated "we'll get back to you" response. Finally, on Feb 6th, I received a reply asking me to send a tracking number/bar code or a photo of the receipt of postage of the returned products. I scanned and emailed this back and I've just had an email through this afternoon saying that I have been refunded the two full amounts of £37.50 and £75.00. Learnt my lesson though! Result.

It's a scam. Not a subscription. Experian is a subscription service, which the person has to cancel themselves, therefore a bank will not engage unless the subscriber has cancelled the agreement. I totally agree that people should read the terms and conditions. Luckily, I picked up on what my daughter had ordered. She has learned herself a valuable lesson. My daughter's bank were fully aware this was a scam and acted accordingly. Nothing has been taken from her bank after we contacted them. We also have not returned the tablets. My daughter's bank were fully aware of the scam and took appropiate action and blocked and re-issued a card with clear detailed instructions for her on how to avoid further removal of funds.

This is a scam, with no clear instructions for people on ordering until the email comes through.

So basically people are not researching whether the ingredients are actually proven to have any efficacy at all (most have little to no scientific evidence backing them) nor reading the small print. TBH six of one and half a dozen of the other.

  • Absolutely correct, Firefox. My daughter just saw an advert and foolishly went ahead and ordered them. But, the website is not straightforward. However, when I looked at it, it screamed scam to me. Luckily we acted on the day she ordered them and managed to divert a disaster. Emblazoned with "Channel 4" people fall for it. This is not a one man band, it's a massive organisation scamming people with dangerous tablets and there have been almost a million complaints worldwide about the dangers of these pills. The price people will pay for a quick way to lose weight when the only true way is via a healthy diet and exercise.

My daughter has had a fright. Thankfully, enough of a one never to order anything again. Lesson learned.
  • Hello,

I received my product but I don't want to pay, it's so many expensive and it's a liar. I send a email but I don't received it and I don't have the number for the return. Can you help me? I stop my credit card and I'm sure they don't take on. I don't know if the product is working or not.

    Thanks

I had forgotten all about this post I made back in November and have just found this.

My update is: My daughter received the pills. I opened them, took them to my local pharmacist who said he would dispose of them for me.

Since then, we ordered her a new card. Because she had been charged the £7.00, for postage and the free trial, the bank logged that transaction and placed a block on further monies being taken. There has been no attempt to take any money, whatsoever. My daughter lost the £7 or just under (which I have given to her) and that's the last we have heard from them thus far. Given the publicity they have had, I doubt whether they will be attempting to take her to court and if they did, they would find me waiting for them.

Having read the amount of people who have been scammed and returned the pills at great expense to themselves, I will add again, don't spend the money on returning the pills. Talk to your bank and if your card has been charged, then the bank can block the transaction, regardless of what you have signed up for. Because it is a scam. A known scam, you are protected by your bank. A CPA is not what this is, it is a known scam and your bank has a duty to protect your money. I consider my daughter very lucky that she only lost £7.00 to this outfit. They can enjoy it, they will need it to pay for their lawyers.

So, don't send the pills back, speak to your bank and don't panic. Act quickly. Sending the pills back at the end of the free trial period is not going to work, it will be too late, you will lose more money. Your bank may well be able to do a chargeback, but you can act quickly at the start, we did it on the day she ordered them.

Are you sure you don't have no problem because you don't return the product? What your local pharmacist say about this??

    Thanks

People need to stop screaming SCAM and start reading T&Cs. Yes, of course some companies exploit those who don't read them, and this is likely one of them. And they also exploit those looking for a quick fix to lose weight (THERE ISN'T ONE!!) so whilst what they do might be slightly immoral, it certainly isn't illegal and neither is it a scam.
