I wish i had looked up the net before committing to purchase this stupid pills. You know what's more pathetic is that i actually took them for a week in the hope that they would really burn off my fat! At this point i am thinking of cancelling the order and realised it wasn't so easy as the phone line is automated with a stupid American accent, and the return address given was only an PO box. I also tried to email just so i have paper proof of cancelling but they are not going to reply, are they? Luckily i was just in time for the cancellation and hopefully the return will be in time as well.
To take precautions i did the following:
1). phoned barclays credit card - they initially wanted to put a block to the merchants but I fear the merchant may request the money in different name, so I asked to cancel the card all together. Hopefully no more nasty things will happen to my account as per gb12345's suggestion. I didn't bother to dispute about the shipping costs.
2). phoned the royal mail to see if they can advise an alternative street address for the PO Box one. They advised to contact post office in Ireland as they operate different systems. Depending on the security setting of the PO Box there is no guarantee that street address can be revealed. I bet those weasels must have ticked the right box to stop that happening! So i'll just post it and retain the proof.
3). have taken Missy1984's advice and took a few photos showing the pills remaining in the bottle and the addressed envelop to Ireland. Hopefully all is covered.
Thank you ever so much for sharing this as i thought i must be the only idiot getting caught.0 -
may i ask how you managed to solve this problem, I'm about to go to my bank now and speak to them about options that they can give me!
I sent ketone premium an email cancelling my account. I got a reply after about 3 days. The email had the RMA number as well as a return address. Once I got the pills, I sent them back via special airmail and I sent ketone premium a picture of my receipt. I sent them back within the 14 days so I wouldn't get charged. Once I checked that the parcel had been delivered I emailed them again and asked for them to confirm that my account had been cancelled and that no payments will be taken. A day later they sent me an email confirming it. I got really scared and closed my bank account (I don't have any other direct debits so it wasn't too much trouble). I feel so stupid falling for this! Have you sorted it out?0 -
I ALMOST fell foul of this scam but realised pretty much right away that all was not what it seemed. This afternoon I saw this miracle cleansing/weight loss product which I'd never heard of before and thought I'd give it a go. I put my card details in etc and a few hours later I read on Facebook and on here that it was a scam! I checked my bank account online and found that only the £2.49 postage had been taken out (plus 51p to the WWF - I'm a real softie LOL) and then I immediately rang my bank and told them I did NOT want this company to take any money out of my account. They said that they will cancel my debit card (which they have) and THANKFULLY if these scammers come for any more money they won't be able to do so. I've got a bit of inconvenience for 3 - 5 days till my new card arrives and I'm £2.49 (plus 51p LOL) worse off, but I reckon I've got off very lightly. I'm so annoyed at myself because I don't normally fall for this kind of thing and can see how hundreds if not thousands of people are being hoodwinked. The only way to stop it is to CANCEL YOUR DEBIT CARD IMMEDIATELY. Thanks to Yorkshire Bank for their excellent service tonight x0

I did think it was funny this afternoon when they said they would send a confirmation e-mail but it never arrived.....0

I've also sent a message to my bank instructing them not to allow this company to take any more money out, and e-mailed the company on their "cancellation form" to tell them I am cancelling my trial and recurring order plan.0

I too fell for this scam.
I received the trial pills an cancelled the order via ketone within 14 days. I was asked to send the pills back by the 21st jan which I did. Then 37.50 went out of my account. I emailed them to which I got back we haven't received them on our database yet but if u provide proof of postage it will help with refining when we get them. Few days later the 75.00 goes out.
I've only noticed the other payment yesterday so when I rang the bank I was told the team I need to speak to aren't in until Monday. Obviously I will e cancelling my card. An they shouldn't have taken the money after the account was cancelled. But is there any other advice that people can give me?0 -
I've now had a letter from my bank to tell me the postage charge has been refunded to my card.
I find it surprising (probably shouldnt) how different banks are dealing with this differently. I have not had to cancel my card or account (credit).
Stand your ground with Ketone/Cleanse company. I have had email replies although a few days later.0 -

I fell for this my tablets arrived last week. even after trying to stop them ten minutes after i placed the order.
When i tried to cancel on line it said i would need a rna number, i would be emailed one .
after trying to call them lots of times today i got my number from a recording, it did say my subscription would be cancelled but i need to get these back before the 14th if i dont want to be billed for them .
I have spoken to my bank they have opened a dispute even though i have not been billed yet.
I have just sent them back sighned for at a cost of £8.00 as the lady at the post office has had a lot being sent back from some who have already been charged and said they could say that they had not arrived .
I hope i will hear no more from this company.
DO NOT WAIT FOR THEM TO RETURN YOUR EMAILS THEY WONT . SPEEK TO YOUR BANK TELLING THEM THAT YOU HAVE GOT INTO A SCAM . SEND THEM BACK ASAP .0 -
Well I rang my bank today concerning the payments taken out. They said straight away well refund the payments by 6 today an waiver any charges incurred by it. They've our a monitor on my card to watch if they try an take it. They were fully aware of the Scam an the bloke said he'd had a few phone calls this morning over it. Anyway money is back in my account0
