I repeat what I said earlier - cancel your card and forget about it. Don't bother sending the stuff back and certainly don't bother paying 50% or whatever.

So you are recommending theft then are you?

They will keep deducting the money that you have authorised them to take and when your bank reverse the transactions, they will send details of the authorisation and the fact that you have not cancelled and your bank will re-debit you.

My fellas been charged £122 for a free £6.95 trial of raspberry tablets charged at £75.00 by Keytone premium and another charge by Cleanse premium at £37.50 and two xs £4.95 post and packing. I phoned America to be brushed off as the advert had given the wrong number. I rang two dept of the Natwest bank to be nastily told they dealt with this company all the time and we could not get our money back,,,despite the company craftily changing its name to premium and regale tablets ,and being in trouble for misleading people and being AVA charged its still conning folk,I am not stupid but my lovely fella was,its a huge blow to the bank and I cant get through on the number given or e mail. I reported them on two web pages, reported them to Trading Standards and Action Fraud and Consumer Savings, they have breached codes,,,,even small print said £85.00 it still took more money .My fellas gone to specs savers now n can see the small print ,I now have to return the pills n hope for a refund, plus vent in a cover letter ,I cant think of anyththing else, cancelled accounts with both companys and cards,,,,,please make sure you cancel both accounts and not just one. Hope this helps someone,
  • I managed to get my £75 + £37.50 back by not receiving the products, the so called Lost Parcel Form should not be filled out by the receiver, Ketone need to fill this out. I was very lucky in getting a refund.
  • Let's face it, it is clever advertising, lose weight for a couple of euro!! I purchased this product and I read the terms and conditions so it was not a shock when they charged me. I also willingly chose pay for a second month. I didn't lose weight but I am not as bloated as I used to be, my skin is in much better condition and I have been sleeping better since I have taken tablets. I wanted to cancel sub so I emailed email addresses in leaflets i received. I received 2 auto emails 48 hrs later and they cancelled sub with no problems. I then received a very random email which is clearly the result of all the complaints that have been made to the company because people clearly wanted a product for free. I responded asking for clarification as they were asking for product back and I explained I happily paid for it and want to keep it. As a courtesy they have refunded 50% of my second paid subscription. It's not a scam because you had to pay for a product, and yes if you want to cancel a subscription, you have to send the product you don't want to pay for back.

Not very helpful Battleborn - 9 pages of testimony on a site which probably attracts a very very small percentage of the population. This shows what a sophisticated scam this is.

If you don't want the product send it back.....it's a business why should any of you keep the product for free. I can't believe how many people are here saying it is a scam. Read terms and conditions, it is as clear as day in it. You are all just sickened as you didn't get it for free!!!

Hi yes I have been stupidly caught out with this scam and I'm gutted! Before the so-called 2 week trial they took £75.00 automatically out of my bank.
First noticed the monies leaving my account (pending) but bank said they couldn't do anything about it till it had left...still nothing been done.
The products still have not shown up, the first 2/3 e-mails they responded too, now they have stopped responding. Have been in touch with my bank this morning and they have put an alert on my account. Been so stupid, and feel like an idiot now, this has now caused my massive financial problems. :(
  • Hi,
I realised very quickly that I had been scammed by this free trial offer. I cancelled within the hour. Kept the emails as proof, however as others have stated, the product was still sent out to me. I rang the bank and cancelled my card and instructed the bank ONLY to allow the 4.98 delivery fee that I had agreed to. I was then so annoyed that they still sent the product anyway, and the expense and trouble I would have to go to returning this product to this company with no scruples or ethics really bugged me!! Anyway, as luck would have it the product could not be delivered, and it says in the small print of the posties delivery note that if I fail to collect it- it will be returned to the sender. My bank have assured me that I have done everything correctly and within the right times, in fact they praised me for acting so swifty. The company can not take money from my account as I have a watch on it- and if by any remote chance they do, the bank will return the money. However- make sure you ring the bank fraud line as I doubt the general bank system will be very helpful. Insist on cancelling your card, even if they try to say you cant because it hasnt been lost or stolen. If you are in a similar situation, and you know they are going to dispatch the product anyway- simply dont answer the door to the poor innocent post person, and when you get the card through to say it has been delivered, dont go to collect it?
hope this helps...ps dont beat yourself up, we are all human, all fallible and all only guilty of trying to improve our lives and health, and that is something to be applauded. Go to your local natural food supplement outlet and buy the products over the counter, as I have now done, they are cheaper and at least you know it isnt a scam! x

I cant believe I fell for this. I ordered the free trial, they havnt arrived, I googled them and found this thread!!!so so far I have no product, its 13 days after the order, they have only taken my postage fee, but barclaycard say they cant stop them taking money as I have given them permission? surely this cant be right? they have put me on hold to investigate this. i'm still on hold 15 mins later!!!
the email for slimtone just gives an automated reply- technical delay etc, and the phone no asks you to input your phone number, and then asks you to enter your phone no..... etc etc etc it doesnt go through to anyone!!!
isnt there a legal 14 day cooling off period for everything???
i feel like a stupid chubby person fooled looking for a quick fix!! doh!
phew barclaycard another dept 20 mins later has put a stop on the payments. cant believe i was so stupid

I had emails off them nd were fab like I said b4 page 4/5 of this thread.. u really do need to send them bk.. y should u keep something for nothin..my best advice is to do it straight away.. nd go in tgere site nd click to cancel.. I put that I couldnt afford it.. nd never once said to them it was a scam.. i feel that if I had gone in all guns blazing.. my result would not of been the same
** u also get the rma number on an email.. when they tell u how to package nd return address
    * all I had was a receipt of proof of postage from my Post office.. which is the pic I attached to email..
    * I did also take pic of stuff b4 posted
    * nd took a pic of parcel once the post office had put all there stickers stamp on it
As for canceling ur card I was told this would not be enough .. but i never done it.. I did however stop money goin into that bank account ad my bank WILL NOT allow payments if no funds as no overdraft..
  • This is too easy;

1, Send a letter to your bank cancelling all payments.

2, Demand a full refund of all charges, stating that the company is in breach of the DSO and the charges are null and void. Refer them to the recent ASA decision.

3, State that if they do not immediately comply with (1) & (2), then they must initiate their complaint procedure, and send you a complaint form. (Some banks and credit cards accept a complaint over the telephone, by email, or by your logging onto their site)

4, Request written confirmation that your complaint has been received, and state that once they have considered your complaint, if they still refuse to refund all charges; Then you will make a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman.

KNOW THIS; If you make a complaint to the FO the bank/CC is charged. I don't know what the current FO charge is, but it used to be £600.

You will get your money back. Either because the bank/CC will refund it. Or, because the FO will uphold your complaint and make them refund it.

Just for laughs, and if you have time on your hands, make a complaint to Trading Standards as well.

This process will take weeks if the bank/cc gives you back your money. And you have to allow eight weeks before you can make a FO complaint, unless they give you a "Final decision" letter before then. The FO is pretty good, especially when it concerns a company that they have already ruled against. So expect a speedy response from the FO.
