Just another bump for this thread with a little moan thrown in!
My house which I am currently renting out needs a new conservatory roof which is going to cost around £1000. It is so frustrating as it seems my debt is hardly reducing at all.LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

Hi Muhren,
Still lodger free although that will need to change.
Sucks about the roof :-( Do you have enough to pay for it to be done?
I'm almost seeing someone and I kinda like it! Its early days yet but she seems really nice which is a massive bonus. But still in debt. Havent been here much so I hope this thread fell down the page as people are all happily loved up?
I sent a friend over to have a look over here as he was stressing about money and this is the place to be for that.

Unfortunately I don't have the money so my folks are going to pay for it and add it to my debt, that why it feels that I'm not getting anywhere at the moment.
Well even though it is early days I hope it works out for you and she may be the one! Won't you find it a bit awkward having a lodger when you are trying to start a new relationship?
I am actually going for a drink with a girl on Friday so we will see how that goes. I'm not getting my hopes up as have been on a few first dates this year that haven't come to anything. I must just be really bad on first dates.
Good work on getting your friend to check this out, you might have caught him early enough for his money worries to be sorted easily?!LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

Well here is my monthly post in this thread with updated sig.
I have just got a new mobile from Tesco which cost me nothing and is only £10 a month. I have put parental control on to stop me from accessing any gambling sites but it seems to block everything, can't even get onto the BBC page, only site I have managed to get access to so far is Iggle Piggle!LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

This is sure to drive you crazy. There must be an 'Iggle Piggle' blocker somewhere....<goes for a look >
I just wanted to say that i have read through a few of your threads dating back to early last year. You have been on such a journey to get where you are today. Well done :TDEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0 -
You wouldn't want to deprive me of seemingly the only website I can get onto would you?!
Thank you for taking the time to read some of my old posts, thinking back they were some very dark days. After 2012 being such a shocker for me, this year has been so much better so far and I seem to be back on the right path now. This forum has been a massive help along with my family and friends as well as GA so thank you to everyone here for their support.
My next target is to be one year off gambling which will be 10th December and then hopefully get my debt below 30k by the turn of the year.
I see that you are doing amazingly well on shifting your debt, not long now and you will will become an honorary member of this thread! Have you got any plans for when you become debt free?LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

Single two kids - 19 and 21 ... I've just lost child benefit and csa money and child tax credits, worried if my son moves out next year for his 2nd year of uni that the bedroom tax will hit me... I work 3 part time jobs 31 hours a week, walk everywhere (2 hours per day) between the different jobs.. finish at 7pm - earn crap money and feel exhausted! So fed up of doing it alone, but I will get there in the end its my debt and i will pay it off.Penny wise pound foolish. 366 days 1p challenge 2020/21/22/23 completed.

It's been a while since I posted in this thread but have updated my sig. As most people I am going to have an expensive December but hopeful that I will get below 30k by the end of the year.
The good news is that as of today it has been a year since my last bet, although I don't feel as happy about it as I thought it would.
Hope everyone is doing well and that you all have a great Christmas and don't manage to spend too much.LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.
