two years until im debt free and keep thinking i should clear my debt before i embark on a new relationship .

I have bee single for over five years and recently met someone i used to know we both like each other to start a relationship but im very nervous about doing anything

Well it's payday for me today so another payment made of my debt! Will update my sig once the rent money has come in as well. Still feels like a very long road ahead though!

Sig updated, my car insurance and MOT are due at the end of next month so will not be making much reduction to my debt in May.

I thought I would bunp the thread back to the first page after a month of inactivity.

Well it has been one hell of expensive month for me. So far I have had to replace 4 brake pads and 4 tyres on my car equalling £650, have a quote for my car insurance of £430, yesterday I paid the £245 application fee for my re-mortgage and I still have to pay for my car breakdown cover and the MOT!!!!

So my debt may well have gone up by time I have paid for everything, hopefully I will be back on track next month but it is frustrating not seeing the total reducing this month.

Hope everyone is having a better month than me?

Oh yeah, I am still single as well!

Hi Guys and Gals yes like so many of you i was left with huge debts after a split with my partner and had to sell the house and move abck with parents not good at 48 but at least im paying off me debts. Another bomb shell is i am being made redundant in August but will at least get a good payout so can tackle some more debts.
managed to save £75 a month from June. Eldest daughter turned 18 so maintenance money reduced and have cut moby bill from £32 to £11 a month. Extra into the pot.
And yes since my split i am also single cant afford a woman at the moment lol x

It must be have been really difficult for you after the break up but sounds like you are getting yourself back on track. In the words of D:Ream things can only get better!

Hi all, I lurk around and just wanted to pop in to say that I too am single but money is tight and so is my head space...like so many of you I think about money almost constantly and tbh I am not sure I would have anything else to talk about! I think that frugal living and eBay sales might not be of interest to many out there and I don't really have much time either!

If I was to join a dating site my description would probably read: single mom of two with two fathers, frugal lifestyle due to past excesses. Interests include meal planning, yellow sticker chasing and eBay selling. Although I don't get out much I am very sociable and can often be found lurking and conversing on money saving expert...if you fancy a date how about we find some vouchers then split the bill based on what we eat? WLTM an orange customer due to cheap cinema dates!

What would your profile say if you were really honest?

Welcome to another new member of the SAD thread.

I would hate to think what I would put if I was completely honest, all I do know is that I wouldn't have anyone getting in contact that is for sure. Although saying that I'm not really getting anywhere anyway so maybe letting it all hang out as it were might not affect me anyway!

Part of me wonders if we did just put it out there maybe that would actually mean meeting someone who is like minded and more compatable?? Surely there must be an orange prince out there looking for a yellow sticker princess?
