Morning all, I can't believe that it is February already.

So my debt is now hovering just above £1600 (plus interest). If my car turns up through work this month and I am able to sell mine this will be down to zero and I will have started to chip away at the interest that I owe my mum and dad. We still haven't sat down and discussed this so I still don't know how much this will be but I think it is in the region of 6K, so we are not talking peanuts here!

ok so my debt has slightly spiralled out of control since Christmas (and I had such a frugal home made christmas too!) I killed my phone so brought a new iphone out right... I know I shouldnt of but really really cannot live with out it!!! I've also started a new healthy living/ fitness reguime which has initially cost me £400 so far =O so thats £1000 further in debt already!!!! I am chipping away at it, plus I have been trying to save a little Emergancy fund but boy i'm sick of being sick and worried all the time!!!!!!! I think it's time to give myself a stern talking too!
On the plus side I have been spending less in groceries as using up my cupboards/freezer and i've started walking home from work. But... I did have a date this weekend, which cost me £150 in a new outfit, meal out and drinks =( I think perhaps I need to stay single lol.

That is an expensive start to the year! Can I ask why you had to go with an iphone over something less expensive? I have never had one so I don't know what all the fuss is about, I just wondered.

I didn't mention it in my post earlier but I have been seeing a girl since the start of the year, so I'm with you that dating can be expensive! I don't want to complain though as it has been fun so far, I will just have to wait and see how things pan out though, so watch this space!

I was thinking the other day what has happened to this thread, I don't post much in this section of the forum anymore but have this thread bookmarked and have just the last page. It's been a year since I last posted here, so what has been happening....

I have cleared all of my debt, got a new job and car, moved back into my house and currently in the process of finishing off my new kitchen. So things are very much looking up for me, although I do still have days when I feel down/anxious, but the the whole things are looking rosey. Especially when I look back to where I was 4 and a bit years ago. I am back to being single however, you can't have everything I guess!

If anyone does read this, how are you all getting on now?
