That makes for a lot better reading than what mine would say right now that's for sure!

Thanks mate,
It most surely is.
After 90 months, in July I will be £280/month better off - and I will be saving most of it !.
That is a great effort. I have not long started on the path to being debt free, which I hope to be in 3 years from now and that seems so far away. How did you keep yourself motivated?LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.

The way I did it was to split the 7 years into yearly blocks.
When I got to the end of year 1 , I thought to myself "thats 1 year gone , only another 6 to go etc".
When I got to 1 year to go , I planned to go on holiday with my dad, for our first ever holiday together, to tour the Normandy D - Day beaches.
This plan hit a slight delay, when my DMP was extended by 6 months to clear some extra interest, but I approached it with the mindset of " I have already done 7 years, whats another 6 months added onto it !" and didnt get disheartened.
My family have been a big help to me , not always financially, but by doing things like taking me abroad for short breaks.
I have now booked that holiday to Normandy, because I know from Monday I will be DF.
If I can do it, so can you !.That is a great effort. I have not long started on the path to being debt free, which I hope to be in 3 years from now and that seems so far away. How did you keep yourself motivated?0 -
Have brought this thread back! Am still single. Met someone through work about 7 weeks or so ago and had thought it was going well but he's now gone radio silent. I suspect he's still hung up on his ex who works with him. Again asking myself why oh why do I put myself on the line every time?!I want to be a writer0

I ask myself the same question sometimes!
As you can tell I am still single and still very much in debt, on the plus side I have most of this week off work and the sun is shining, the small things in life eh!LBM: Dec 2012 - Debt £38,180/ Now £0.
