    Can I join too?

I am forever in my overdraft and am single. Sometimes I like it and sometimes I HATE it. Its hard to save and date (although I am getting better!) and its hard to not have any one else to bounce ideas off of.

It is still early days but I think everything is going well with GA thank you. I also feel a lot more positive about this year, I know how extremely stupid I have been and that it will take me years to get out of this situation but I am trying to concentrate on the future even though that is still proving difficult at the moment.

I thought you were doing well last time I saw your thread with a nice little ebay empire getting started? Do you still have a lodger?

  • Very depressed today :(. Noticed the thread about how much everyone had paid off in 2012, so ducked into my spreadsheet all excited to work it out. The answer was £4,004 , which sounds good until I remember that my Nan left me £4k in her will, so by will power alone I have paid off ... £4!

Have been tentatively giving it another go with ex for last 6 weeks and things seem to be going well, but don't want to count my chickens and so on. Still feel single though in many ways, especially money, as we live 220 miles apart. He actually owes me £600 for train tickets bought last year so that'll be why I've not paid off much this year. And did have great fun last year so it was probably worth it (went to a couple of festivals, jubilee stuff etc).

Every year I forget that I have a couple of big annual payments due in December, so my NYE is to put aside £90 a month to cover these.

SB, I totally hear where you are coming from and I think I'd go mad if it weren't for my little cat - he's such great company and a friendly face when I get home!

BB, you sound v similar to me (except I've never been married) - I'm 34 and have lots of male friends and don't seem to have a problem attracting men, it's just I can't find anyone I want - either that or I screw it up by getting too hammered and doing crazy things!

M, hang in there - things WILL get better - we are all here for you.x

I was seeing someone before xmas but I then just didn't fancy him anymore so ended it.

I've now "interest" from someone I knew 15 years ago and got back in touch with recently. I always fancied him - proper beefcake!!!! and makes me quiver! - but he's being rather evasive about coming to visit (he lives quite far away) even though he suggested it. Problem is: I'm not really into playing games and if there's any point to this he needs to be arsed now! Cos if he's not in it at the start, it's not going to happen cos of the distance! But obviously, you can't just text pointing this out or you look desperate and like a mad spinster so I guess there's a bit of game playing in a way in pretending not to be bothered!

All I want is someone I fancy and who makes me laugh - is that really so much to ask??!!!!

Well I gave up and joined a dating web site. And it was so nice to be able to talk to people. I get home and I chat with the cat, might call my folks. Odd text from friends but it was nice to have a long running conversation with someone. That is until I saw my ex on the site sla99ing me off for no reason. But off the site I have a date type thing on Saturday. A cheap but lively bar/pub close to home so that will be fun. Just need to; pay off my OD, lose a shed load of weight; get my place sorted/ decorated; settle down and be happy. I can do that by the end of the year right?!
