My modifying agreement said within the letter something along the lines of "we'll send out your card as soon as we receive back the agreement".0

Yeah, that's what it said. The advisor could say that no card had been dispatched yet. I'll give it another week and see. The whole business seems disorganised.
I'm only keen to have it quickly so I can buy xmas presents with the 6% cashback, and so my 4% annual booster is in the statement period I want (although that in itself is another confusion!)0 -
Hi,
I applied online to switch my Platinum Barclaycard to a Barclaycard Cashback card about 6-7 weeks ago. A couple of weeks later I received the modifying agreement, but it shows different cashback rates to those Barclaycard advertise.
Barclaycard website rates:
Standard rate = 0.5%
Top purchases = 2%
Anniversary Bonus = 4%
Modifying agreement states:
Standard rate = 0.5%
Top purchases = 1.5%
Anniversary Bonus = 2%
I have since made 3 calls to customer services and been given three different responses from "just sign it everything will be fine" to we'll send you a revised agreement (which I heard 3 weeks ago and thus far have no new agreement).
Can anyone help as its driving me crazy. Maybe I'd just be better going elsewhere. Maybe the Amex Cashback card?
Thanks.0 -

I think it means the bonus you get. i.e.
Top purchases = standard 0.5% + bonus 1.5% = Total 2% etc.0 -
Hi Theresonly1alj
We're sorry for the difficulty experienced trying to get clarification on this.
steffangl is right, this is the amounts combined. You can view the full terms and conditions by visiting:
http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/cs/Satellite?c=Product_C&cid=1306418132536&pagename=BarclaycardPersonal%2FProduct_C%2FBCPCreditCardTermsConditionsBox
You have the correct agreement, which will need to be returned to us so we can then begin to finalise the request to transfer. Please note that accounts can't be transferred during a statement period, after processing your request we'll arrange for your card to be sent out shortly after your statement date.
Thanks

Hi.
Do you have to make 15 transactions in EVERY month of the first 3 months to qualify for the 6%, or only on the month in question?
e.g.
I was planning to:
- Month 1 - spend nothing, make NO purchases
- Month 2 - spend nothing, make NO purchases
- Month 3 - spend £2,000 making my £120 max cashback, and then make 15 small transactions (sweets, chewing gum etc), to make sure the £2000 qualifies for the 6%.
My question is - is this OK?
The latest MSE tip implies that I need to make 15 transactions in Month 1 and Month 2 - just to qualify for the 6% in month 3....
But, I thought each month was treated seperately.
Can someone confirm urgently please?
I'm almost at the end of my month 1 having made no transactions - so I need to rush out and buy 15 little items if I'm wrong.
Thanks.

Also, I just noticed this: http://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal/cashbackfeerefund
When did Barlcaycard start doing this? I have had my card 3 weeks - and I don't recall seeing this.
Do I have any options to avoid the fee?
1. Not sure when fee is first charged.
2. Could I cancel/reapply?
3. Haven't used my card yet.. so a bit miffed about that.
Thanks. SC0 -
Why are insurance premiums not eligible for cashback?0

I just spoke to someone at barclays, and they have:
1. refunded the fee as a credit to my account, even though I missed the offer.
2. confirmed that you must make 15 transactions in ALL of the first three months, to qualify for the 6% offer.
(so I best go and buy some cheap items)...0
