People buying PS3's to put on ebay to get a profit in my book are traders regardless of if they sell one or one hundred and with any trade/business should be aware of and anticipate fraud, large companies have to factor in for it. I would have more sympathy for a seller scammed out of their second hand possessions that the people on ebay trading in Games Consoles and Concert Tickets etc. as they often create a shortage in the item preventing people being able to get it from the authorised Console/Ticket etc. retailers.
A person willing to pay £500 on ebay for a PS3 sounds like a scammer to me first off as I understand you can pick them up from a shop/proper internet retailer for less. I understand there was no problems with pre orders so why anyone would buy off ebay at an inflated price beats me. I'm very cautions of ebay and think it should only exist of second hand stuff and rare stuff you can't buy from a bona fide shop as I would go to the shop anyway as it is easier to exercise your legal rights.0 -
As other people have already said, maybe if you cant say anything constructive, maybe you should just :silenced:
There's no place for a 'holier than thou' attitude on a forum set up to help people.
Oh right so just because I disagree with your opinion I should shut up. Sorry that isn't going to happen.
You're entitled to your opinion on the matter as much as I am.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

I agree with you that something should be done to stop innocent people (such as the OP) being left out of pocket but what exactly can be done? PayPal, the police e.t.c don't seem to be interested in such matters.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

It's because you are being extremely self righteous and unhelpful to someone who has come here with a problem.
You also seem to be very antsy about people being made aware that:Paypal Stinks
and suggestions that they should read:
and that they really need to read the small print and make an informed opinion for themselves, which is the most important thing, wouldn't you say?0 -
You can do whatever you want I'm not bothered. I agree people should make up their own mind.
I'm just expressing my opinion re: PayPal. If you had read my last post you would have seen that I said something should be done.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

You've changed your tune, your original posts were all paypal is great, and the OP was dumb for not reading the terms...0 -

That's what's so good about it.
You can lose the argument but gain knowledge along the way.
I often 'change my tune' as a result of debating with people.0
