There are 2 sides to every story. People who have lost money (usually by not covering themselves properly) will of course say PayPal suck.
If you do things correctly then the majority of the time PayPal is fine.
By plastering PayPal are rubbish all over the place it's just going to worry more people than necessary.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

"it's just going to worry more people than necessary."
I'd rather "worry more people than necessary", than have them believe the paypal propaganda, then get burnt.
Do you prefer paypals "don't worry everything is fine" approach? Heres the link to paypals "how we protect sellers" page
https://www.paypal.com/uk/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=xpt/cps/securitycenter/sell/SecurityForSellers-outside
They use phrases like
"PayPal was built to keep you secure."
"we set the standard for fraud prevention"
"a broad range of security measures"
Then we see things like
"For added protection, send items to a Confirmed Address"
That is blatantly wrong. ADDED protection implies you have protection in the first place - if you don't send to a confirmed address there is NO PROTECTION
So is it better to not worry people and let them potentially lose money, or worry them a bit, have them think twice, have them maybe check the fine print, and then maybe they wont get caught out?0 -

I don't agree.
People seem very able to miss a lot of the fine print that paypants use to weasel out of doing what people expect of them.
It's important to remind people that:Paypal are Rubbish
And get them to read:
so that they can make an informed opinion for themselves.
Trying to pretend that paypants are wonderful isn't really helping anyone (other than paypal), is it?0 -
Making them out to be !!!! isn't helping either.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Shouldnt Paypal not allow people to buy stuff or only allow them to spend a small limit til all they're details are confirmed properly?Always looking for a bargain and to help0

And i'm sure you probably never will have. paypals priorities when there is a problem are
(a) making sure paypal arent out the money
(b) making sure the buyer isnt out the money
(c) making sure the seller isnt out the money0 -

Better a pessimist proved wrong than an optimist proved wrong - particularly when it comes to things like a significant sum of money.0
