A very busy and productive day here but I am now exhausted and curled up on the couch watching bad TV before trying to get an early night.

Clothes were ready again this week but I could not face putting makeup on today so I stuck with a wee squirt or perfume. The healthy eating went reasonably well and I went for a long walk to visit family instead of taking the car. It was  cold and I slid a few times however I felt better for getting out after being indoors all day.

Tomorrow will be equally busy but hopefully as productive :)

I didn't know that's a maya saying curly top but I do like it and her saying: when someone shows you who they are the first time, believe them.

Ww- the positive thing is that we realise we need to work at this fabbing lark and don't let things go unchecked.

Hi back again. Really enjoyed the Claridge programme. £6K a night to stay in their premier suite - oh well I can dream.:o

One thing I think you can do though is to watch and learn, and in my case, see how I can copy some of the ideas - on a budget. A bit like window shopping.

If you are going to window shop then you are going to look in the windows of the nicest shops - you are not going to window shop at Primark.;)

WW - I think you are spot on about how age catches up with us and how a few days of "neglect" shows up in how we look and feel. Lack of sleep, exercise and unhealthy food will take it's toll very quickly. We just don't bounce back as quickly as we used to.

I also think that as we get older our skin and our bodies become more sensitive and it is quite common to develop allergies. I particularly find this with perfumes - fragrances that I used to love now give me a splitting headache. I have to wear something lighter.

Same with bath products, cosmetics and certain foods. That's why I began making my own bath products, creams and potions.

Hope your rash subsides soon WW - could it be stress related perhaps. My skin is often more sensitive when I'm stressed.

I have a confession to make on the skin front. My scar tissue is bothering me, it has been very itchy and uncomfortable, and there is a new raised mole. There are also a couple of tiny lesions that won't heal - so it looks like something is going on.

Anyway I've booked an appt with my GP for the New Year. I prefer to wait for him, he is a skin specialist and he knows my history. I know that if there is cause for concern he will act quickly.

TBH I am a bit worried because if I need further surgery it will mean removing more skin and my face will become more lopsided.

At the moment most people don't notice but further surgery will make it more obvious, plus if the cancer keeps coming back then I don't fancy keep getting bits chopped off my face.

Oh well I'll just have to have a face lift as part of my reconstructive surgery to restore symmetry:eek:.

I am very lucky because my cancer is non-malignant and very slow growing. It's just a bit scary all the same.

EH - glad to hear you've got some temping work - you never know it might lead to something permanent, and if not, then I'm sure the money is useful.

Got a busy day tomorrow so off to bed soon.

    G'night all X

haven't been on for a few days as I've been snowed under with work, Xmas shopping, cleaning, cooking, work Xmas do and on and on and on :)

LL - sorry to hear about your skin, waiting for your dr is definitely a good idea and I hope it's nothing serious/doesn't require surgery.

I'm keeping up with the moisturising after the shower, despite how freezing our house is which I'm glad of. I do have sensitive, dry skin on my body, especially my legs and not moisturising after a shower is terrible for it. As I discovered last winter when saying ah it's too cold!

    Afternoon all.

Great strides made in financial fabbing.
    Ok strides for house fabbing.
Personal fabbing saw me use a richer day cream. Skin has slurped that up.

LL have a thorough look around the rest of your skin too. Perhaps ask a ds to check your back :A

Evening all - quiet here today?
Had a good day at work - someone asked me if I'd lost more weight - most definitely not! Still, its nice to be asked.

Not a lot to report really - just the usual mid week stuff. Its payday on Friday and so am counting the hours until I can pay off the sofas early so no interest is paid (saved all the cash up and will pay in full) and then more spare money can go into real savings rather than towards the house.

The next project is the spare room - I'd like a new bed frame (a slightly smaller one to fit the room better) but will keep the mattress as its hardly been slept on and a new wardrobe and bed side cabinet - something minimilist and modern to make the room look bigger. Then, its a lick of paint, new bedding and curtains. Will start looking for ideas and maybe get round to it in the next half term when there's some spare money again. Might have a look in the January sales for the furniture.

Its all money, money, money isn't it??:o

    X

 do you know I could be a multimillionaire and I am not sure I would ever be comfortable on spending that kind of money on a hotel suite. Premier or not :o I'd be too busy thinking about all the other things I could be doing with that kind of money (and I don't just mean shopping etc. I mean giving it to those in need)

First day since last week where I've felt more human :T
Been a pants day, H hit a deer with his car on way to work this morning, doubt deer will have survived, H lucky not to have had a serious car accident and car now needs to be repaired as it didn't fare so well. DS also managed to scrape his face over school playground and now looks like a battered child  To my shame any notions of fasting went out of the window :o I really need to get back into the fasting :o:o

No other fabbing I am afraid other than the usual stuff :o

pod hope wedding goes well xx

Sorry I've not replied to all, it's getting late and I need my beauty sleep :o

Glad you're feeling better Bitsy. Thank goodness hubby wasn't hurt. Sending positive vibes your way.

    That sounds exciting PP :j

A dog walk in the crisp frosty air today. Ordered some new clothes. Trying to create a capsule wardrobe on a budget. Will get rid of the same number items as part of decluttering.

    Keep warm :A
