Well, a very activity filled day - up early long weekend dog walk, then out for a run, then walk up to town fabbed up in bright clothes to meet a friend for a seasonal hot chocolate then back home for a mince pie or 2 and then off out for the longest weekend dog walk - legs feeling quite tired now!

Bedding dried more or less on the windy dry day here and next out in a bit to fill the car up and then back for a nice warm bath to soothe off those leg muscles by trialing my new milk bath (of course need to see how it is!) before having anice hot tea of sausage casserole and yorkshire pud.

I did my nails last night, tidied up filed, buffed and treated so today is another face mask and time to tackle those feet before watching the results shows and off for an early night and that working week begins again

I think tonight I'll write up some labels to go on the homemade bath gifts and have a look for some nice boxes to pack them into and then see if one more lot are needed and if so a nice energising bath melt of citrus frangrance to do which I might just do anyway!

Hmm sometimes we just react to things its weird - 3 yrs ago I started with facial eczema and it lasted for over a year and took ages to find out the cause hence now why I make a lot of bath products as the ingredients which are the cause are in a lot of those things

Hugs to those that are feeling under the weather.

LL I think it is essential for your to put your health and wellbeing first for a while, after all you won't be able to achieve anything if you are not at your best.

A very mixed day today for me. I got out into the garden and made a good start on the work that I wanted to get done. I also had a wee look in town at some books I might like to get in the future about getting the most from my veggie garden.

Not done too badly in the healthy eating stakes however there is a long long way to go and I need to start exercising consistently, I just don't want to ;)

This is a great idea for a thread, I'd like to join but should I wait for the next three month period?

Good morning, just a quickie to say Hello and welcome to Sarah.

Of course you can join now.

Today is the first day of the rest of your life.

Make the most of it, live it, do it.

Christmas is busy and difficult so my advice is just make a start - right now go and squirt that perfume.

Just do what you can for now and then you'll have a head start for the New Year.

Then we will all get cracking - won't we ladies????!!!!

Shoulders to the wheel, onwards and upwards......

So the sun is shining and I'm off out to have lunch with OH.

He is declining yet again, a bit drowsy and speech now very poor, rattly chest and has spent a couple of days in bed. Poor darling but at least I can still make him laugh. I can read to him, do puzzles with him and watch TV and DVD's with him - better than nothing.

Yesterday I gave him a manicure and today I will cut his hair if he is well enough to get out of bed.

Then later, hopefully some more sorting out and decluttering.

    Busy, busy, busy.:rotfl:

Still have a slight headache, not too bad at the moment - managed with just one dose of pain meds yesterday.

Time for some coffee and then I need to get out and about.

    Have a fab day.

    Hi all,

Just a quick one today so don't have time to comment individually, but:
    Bitsy, hope you're feeling better,
WW, hope the rash has cleared a bit,
purple.sarah - just join in straight away :D If you're anything like me (and this is one of the things I've been trying to improve!) then it's all too easy to put things off - there's a birthday coming up, it's nearly xmas, going on holiday next month etc. Just jump in, and if you don't get that much done due to Christmas plans and chaos then it least it will be more then if you hadn't tried anything x

Busy weekend. Was OH's birthday on Friday so I took the day and we just had a nice chilled out day and then went to see a band at night and had a few drinks. First 'proper' day off in probably longer then I'd like to think about so was quite nice :) Was doing Christmas songs with choir in a shopping centre yesterday, which was fun but I'm not feeling as xmassy as I thought I would be. I think I've just been too busy to let it sink in that it's actually Christmas Eve just 2 weeks today  Still working on the dissertation - am sick to death of it now and just wish could go back to my own work :(

    Determined mode!

Well looking after my skin and my teeth need to be one of my priorities.

Far too much scraping at the dentist the other day. I need to floss and look after them more.

And I've realised that while its great using toiletries up, many of them I won't re buy. And today I had a facial as I've been feeling quite stressed. So had no make up on. And I could see and feel how rough my skin looked before the facial :( and usually after a facial my skin looks brilliant. I and it looks stressed. I've been ill for a while so need to realise that this is all connected.

So I must quickly use up face masks i have and swop a richer cream for my dry skin, then invest in a better face mask..

All these things just goes to show what happens when you start neglecting yourself without realising it.

When you know better you do better :j

    Hi

Was gonna read and run but couldn't resist the opportunity to say to Skymist - don't be surprised to find yourself allergic to stuff after all this time. I seem to remember watching Coronation Street when I was younger and Stan Ogden getting a rash to eggs and was most miffed !!! Then again my friends husband was 70 when he diagnosed with coeliac and had to have the specialised bread (which I believe tasted like cardboard).

LL - an inspiration as always. Sorry to hear OH is not feeling too good. You're in my thoughts.

Mineallmine - I think the whole of my tummy area is one big shingle. It blew up and swelled and hasn't gone back down. Oh yeah - I forgot, it happened as I got older. :rotfl:

Bitsy - hope you're feeling a little brighter.

Mineallmine - are you a Maya Angelou fan? There's not many people I know who use that phrase 'when you know better you do better'. I think I'm right in thinking that Oprah credited her with saying it.

Another long day at the madhouse. I feel like I'm getting pulled in all directions at the mo. I'm sure they forget I'm not one of a twin. Ha ha.

I decided today to tell them I'm not going the christmas meal. Never wanted to go in the beginning and tried saying this at the time but got told they'd picked the day around me (even though they organised it whilst i wasn't there and i felt guilty). Saves me £40+ quid. Should have said last week because the dope who arranged it, despite folk asking for ages, hadn't checked on whether a deposit was required. He'd thought not. Then turns out he found on Friday it was needed and he paid it on his card. I have to reimburse him. Oh well.

Fabbing going okay. Spraying of perfume - check; make-up - check; hair - me and the woolly hat are gonna have a falling out I think, cos its winning on making me look like Worzel Gummidge; nails - shaped and buffed, just need varnish.

Will continue to keep up the fight and be inspired by you all. Thanks ladies. xxx
I got there - I'm debt free and intend to stay that way. If I haven't got the cash, it doesn't get bought. It's as simple as that.

You're right Mine - it only takes a few days with poor sleep or food, a little bug or just no time and I go downhill fast! At my age (40) it seems to be a job like painting the Forth Bridge - just never ends:rotfl:
Oh for the days when you could get away with going out 3 nights in a row, drink too much, have no sleep and eat rubbish and still look ok.......
Not for me anymore - it takes quite a bit of effort to just look presentable let alone fab.
It comes to us all I suppose...

Just 9 days left to work now - the kids at school are starting to go a bit Xmas bonkers already - god only knows what they'll be like next week:eek:

Still have the rash - its not getting worse but not getting much better - will stick it out and see what happens. I'm more likely to pick up a bug at the docs than I am to get something that cures me so will continue with the antihistamines, sensitive skin products and hydrocortisone on the worst bits - doubt the doctor would say anything different to start with.

Had an ok day with food and done a good hours brisk walking with the dog. Will do an exercise DVD in a bit before a bath to get a bit of extra flab fighting under my belt so to speak:)

    Evening All,

Feeling out of sorts today went to fitball which perked me up a bit.

Went to cinema yesterday with male friend (who has declared feelings for me in past), but thought it was ok, we are mates and been going along quite happy but my gut instinct last night took over so I said something. Wish i hadn't, he said he loved me ( I love him but not attracted to him does that make sense) so had a heart to heart. I feel like a right cow. He now has taken tomorrow off work and wants to talk properly.

Job wise registered with an agency today, got temp work for Thurs, Fri, Mon, Tues so keep me out of mischief.

Off to have a much needed vino & tea. Eh xx
