    Morning all,

LL - thanks hun x nope the staying late, doing extra work and the fact I've not had more then 10mins for lunch and no other breaks in the day for as long as I can remember never gets brought up, surprisingly :rotfl:Think the lump sum is probably a good plan if the monthly payments are never going to change - fingers crossed it will bring you a nice return on something.

Mineallmine - I should probably start on a financial sort out. I actually tried to change electric suppliers and got a letter from my old one last week saying they refused to swop me over as the new supplier didn't have the correct information or something. So need to ring them when I get chance and find out what the heck is going on!

bratz - I was making some truffles at weekend, and this is how dizzy I've been this week - have the most simple recipe, made them up, let them set and then realised I had nothing to roll them in :rotfl:So was there with a big bowl full of truffle 'mix' that was too sticky to roll on its own - ended up eating half of it out of the bowl - it was really good mix though, will try another batch when I get my head in gear :D

Lizzie - glad the decorating empire is getting started :D hope you don't catch the kids lurghy x

So, still on with the dissertation so not much else getting done. Hoping have got a last minute wedding job for next week (waiting on them to definately confirm) so fingers crossed that will be a bit of extra cash for Christmas. Have the day off work tomorrow and is OH's birthday so hopefully will be a fun day - we're going to see a band at night.
Hope everyone is having a good day x

House fabbing continues via flylady and declutter challenge.

Personal fabbing continues with lotions and potions. I look distinctly pale though. I'm missing the walks but the weather is too bad to do them. I might try and do some meditation this afternoon.

Here's the thread PP https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4328971. I'd write to them to formally get it sorted (not ring, they can always fob you off on the phone).

  • Hello everyone,

Thanks for all the message of support, being made redundant makes your emotions go up & down like anything! Luckily got some good friends who will give me a good kick up the a**e! Finally received my redundancy letter as I popped into office yesterday no details on entitlement, apparently administrators will be sending details.

PP - 'War of worlds' was amazing and I recognised all the music.

    Bratz81- House slowly getting cleaned.

LL - Thanks for your words of wisdom!

Went to job centre yesterday to process job seekers claim form, first time in my life I've done that and had Brownies. Today rung a couple more agencies to register with, appointments booked for next week.

Off to library, buy job paper, put xmas decorations up and write xmas cards. Now I have to do all that as I wrote it on here. No more rotting my brain with Daytime TV.

    EH xx

    Good afternoon

Oh my but it's cold today.

Solicitor dutifully came to see OH today, so contracts now signed. She was lovely, will definitely use her now for all my business.

I need to redo wills and poa's after Christmas, so she's my girl from now on. It's so nice when you find a professional who is professional and competent and who you can trust.

EH - glad you are doing so well. Lizzie - good luck with the new decorating career. I'm sure you'll do well. I've read your blog today about benefits. Just keep the faith, get your business going and you will break free.

pp - could you just roll the mix into little balls with your hand. You'll get sticky chocolatey fingers though - shame - you'll just have to lick them clean.

Well today it was so cold I decided to layer up - my new lime green long sleeved top under a grey/navy/lime green cardigan, and navy jeans. Nice and bright and colourful to cheer up the winter gloom. OH loved the bright colours.

I too am looking rather "pale and interesting" so I chose a brighter than usual lipstick too.

    Time for a cuppa.

    Stay warm X

I did try that but it was a bit too gooey, even when it set was still getting sticky fingers from them. Got some dessicated coconut in Lidl - 95p for a big bag :) so am going to try some rolled in that and hopefully will look kind of snowbally? Am wondering how long they will keep for - if they turn out ok will do some as wee xmas pressies but don't want to be messing round at the last mine.

Spent half an hour or more plucking my eyebrows, why do they always look uneven, is there any good websites with different shapes and tips
Do I need it or just want it.

I know what you means pamsdish. I think everyone's individual eyebrows are slightly different. Maybe google it or look on YouTube for ideas? I use a close up mirror. But then keep checking with a normal one. It takes me ages :A

Well after my moan the other day I have organised a new diet and exercise plan starting (properly) tomorrow. I am feeling really positive and am hoping to drop a dress size by the new year :D.

My fabbing slipped the last couple of days but I have been spending more time doing things I love which has had a huge impact on my life. I feel happier and more relaxed.

A few things that have happened recently have changed my perspective on life and I am taking more time to spend with friends and family, making time for things that I love and I am taking steps to sort myself out financially, physically and emotionally. It will be hard to keep on track but I am determined ;)

    Focus, determination, committment, dedication.

I've just watched John Bishop on "Who do you think you are". Two of his ancestors were born into very reduced circumstances, no education or any kind of help. They both worked their way from very lowly beginnings, educating themselves and becoming successful and fulfilled.

John remarked on how they had refused to accept their limitations, how they had taken control of their own destiny and worked to achieve their goals.

    I found it very inspiring.

I have been thinking about this quite a lot, how we can change our lives by taking control.

I think we've come a long way ladies. We've all made a lot of changes and some fantastic progress.

We've changed our way of thinking about our problems, we've looked for solutions and we've taken action. I've even learned how to do some maths.:rotfl:

And - just think - it all starts with a bottle of perfume.;)

Re the eyebrows - a good idea is to get them done professionally to get a really nice shape and then you can just follow the shape your therapist has done. All you need to do then is just tidy up the few straggling hairs every few days.
