They were recommended by a family memeber and as well as guaranteeing to beat British Gas and your local regional electric supplier I also signed up for their telephone and internet service and get free calls 24x7. I now get all my utilities on one bill at a cheaper rate and with no fixed term contract.
I would recommend them as they not only have very competitive prices but also good customer service. I was directed to telecomplusspam

Hi. I changed fuel suppliers about 8 months ago but have now discovered there are cheaper options out there. However, I'm pretty sure I read somewhere on this site that we weren't going to be allowed to swap suppliers more than once a year. I'd be grateful if someone could let me know whether this is the case or not.0

Unless you have signed any contract with a minimum period (like business have been for years) then you can change usually every 28 days if required.
Suggest you check if your T&C's state you have signed a lock in agreement.
If you are business, this is highly likely. On business you also have short opt out periods at the end of th 12 months. Be careful with that part as a lot of small businesses get caught out.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
Since this is the "Time To Switch" thread I thought I should tell you that Powergen (or is it EON? I can't remember) have just increased the cost of their online duel fuel deal to new customers by 17% (if you are on it already there is no change in the price) - this is being seen as a further sign on imminent further increases. Plus, the wholesale cost of electricity has gone up by about 40% since March...0

Energyhelpline is the recommended site, DG

Cashback too. If you don't have figures to put in the national average is round about 3000kwh for electric and 20,000 for gas...tho probably lower than this for a flat. Compare these figures with your present consumption you should then have something to go on. Don't rely on the amount you are paying by DD. could well be based on estimated readings and/or repayments of a built up debt.0 -

Thanks Ken , have done that , and the best results are scottich power , but i spoke to npower earlier and they were offering some sort of cashback deal , £80 off at your anniversary or similiar , but that offer sint even on the first results page on that website !0 -
It would have been included in the computations , DG. To double check, find nPower in the results table and look at the details.
IF moving to Scottish Power, more cashback can be obtained via Quidco, and no lock in, tho you need to register with them first.0 -
Hi there, I have recently bought a flat and established that my gas and electricity suplier is Swalec (part of Scottish Power). It seems I am on a Standard Tariff for Gas and Online Saver for Electricity.
Since NPower has announced a huge price rise, I want to switch to Swalec Price Fix 2008 tarif (until November 2008). Can I get cashback from any of the usual sites for switching tarif but not switching supplier?
Thanks for your help?
