Tim,
Thanks for trying to bully me off this site but you should know that I've had to deal with worse in my life so far. As for being an expert you really have no idea who I am or what I have experience with. Let's just say that when it comes to reviewing I do my research and I also get feedback from current owners/users. With over 2 years of reviewing 10-30 products a day I know when I see a something decent or poor pretty quickly.
I am not one to fall for marketing hype/gimmicks but I find out real hard facts and remain completely impartial. I also get feedback from others and take that into account. I also talk to manufacturers directly and have contacts spanning many industries.
You are correct that I do not feel great about having my integrity questioned so easily. I have gained a popular following on the internet to the extent that I can make a living from it and I don't really want to be accused of being a salesman for a rival bed company. In fact Tim, you do that an awful lot - you accuse anyone with opinions/views which do not fit with yours to be a salesman, but you have the nerve to accuse people of being paranoid about your impartiality when it comes to negative advice.
As others have pointed out - independent retailers are not able to stock many brands as the manufacturers would not be keen on their brands and warranties being compromised. It is definitely not all marketing hype!
It's an odd industry because while most people will have a TV and some a PC, pretty much everyone owns a bed to sleep on. It would make sense that many of the new sales would come as word of mouth recommendations from friends & family. Many other sales would come from advertising/sales pitch and some would come from professional advice.
This forum should really be served as a place for people to hear from others who have tried and tested the beds they are thinking of getting rather than the 'optimum density Tim Deagen approved' mattresses with feedback from thousands of unknown people. People here are generally kind enough to allow you the privilege of basically spamming the thread with the same rhetoric over and over again rather than offering real solid advice. You should at least have the integrity to allow others on here to reciprocate their opinions and views of their own experiences. They should certainly not be harassed, should not be bullied, and certainly not told to go away.
You may be posting on this thread several times a day but that does mean that this is your thread to own - that is somewhat against the intention of forums.
Just go away.......I'm not interested in your insults. You obviously have very little knowledge of the bed industry, but you think you are an expert. All you are doing by continuing with this childish behavior is making yourself look stupid. I've already had comments made to me today saying so.
Let the forum continue as it was intended, and go and enjoy your mattress (which you think is the best mattress in the world).0 -

Petty squabbles and arguments don't help anyone who is looking for tips and help to buy a mattress.

The listing seems to avoid stating the density of the memory foam (which is very important). There is a phone number on the listing, so it would be worth asking them. Also ask where they are made, and who manufactures the memory foam.0 -
Density
The density of a memory foam mattress should be at least 45Kg/m3. The Sleep Assured mattress is 65Kg/m3
what difference does the manufacturer make ?
thanks !

45kg is too low to give good support, 65kg is just right.
There is a lot of low quality memory foam on the market, which is why the manufacturer is important. What did they say about the manufacturer?0 -

Looking at the seller, they have 100% feedback and have sold over 200 mattresses in the last month alone (over 1000 in the last year). I think the mattress must be fairly good for them to be able to receive such worthy feedback consistently.
Memory foam is definitely the way to go if you suffer from any chronic pain. Good luck with your purchase!Kwai Chi

If you also look at the feedback, 99% of those feedbacks are left within 4 days of the person buying the mattress! i find it hard to believe that anone can get any idea of how a product is within 4 days if even that due to a couple of days delivery! what you will find however is people leave feedback as soon as they get the item after seeing it looks okie. How do you know how long its going to last, how do you know its going to keep its retention how do you know your going to be able to have good nights sleeps on it ater just one night! It would be very interesting to hear peoples feedback that have had this mattress for 6 months or more and i can bet you it wouldnt be the same as they left within 4 days!
I cant believe people are suggesting buying a mattress that your going to spend best part of 10 hours a day laying on for the next few years on what someone says from an ebay purchase 4 days after they bought it!0
