    Hi Tim,
We are trying to decide between the two following mattresses:

    1) visco-pro 1600 supreme pocket spring
    http://www.visco-pro.com.my/products_visco_pocketed.htm

    2) Respa Visco Pocket 700
    http://www.respabeds.ie/html/pocket700.htm
    or
    http://www.deskelly.ie/pinfo-372-respa-visco-pocket-700-divan-set.php

Leaving price out of the equation, could you please comment on which matress is better. Both myself and my wife suffer from bad backs. In addition, I snore and frequently have to lie on my side all night. My wife is pregnant and she too must lie on her side. In the morning, we are both sore and stiff on our current ordinary mattress!

Any thoughts you may have on these two mattresses would be really appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Mike

    Hi Mike.

I presume from the addresses of the second and third links that you are in Ireland?

I was going to say that the bed in the first link was by far the highest spec of the three. Then I saw that they are made in Malaysia, so I'm not so sure. There has bean a lot of very low quality memory foam coming from the far east recently.

The second and third links are both for the same bed, but they give very little info about the spec.

Hi there I wondered if anyone could advise us, My fiancee suffers with back ache sometimes, she sleeps on her front mainly and doesn't turn much, I sleep on my side or back, We currently have a miracoil silentnight that is only about 2 years old but it seems to be uncomfortable for her now.

We are considering buying a new matress but are confused as to which sort and as this one has been ok for a while but isn't now we don't want to spend lots and waste money.

    thanks
  • I just got a flexcell 1200 pocket sprung mattress. Best of both worlds. 5 cm of memory foam on 1200 pocket springs. It also came with free memory foam pillows. Got it from http://www.memorymattress2go.co.uk

It's a good job they give a money back guarantee as there have been some mixed reviews for flexcell mattresses.

Hopefully you won't need to use the guarantee.
  • Thanks for your comment. I went for the Flexcell mattress as my next door neighbour brought three memory foam mattresses for his teenage kids about three years ago and he can never get them out of bed. I asuume it's the mattresses and not the kids! He also brought a Flexcell memory foam pocket sprung mattress for himself and his wife last summer and they swear by this. When we had to replace our ancient mattress just before christmas I had no hestitation on taking his advice. So far so good and the company we brought from were really helpful in arranging a delivery over the christmas holiday.
  • Hi Tim/All,
Does anyone have any experience with the IKEA mattress "Sultan Flokenes"??
    http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70139918
    Is it any good?
  • Oh ye, what gauge should the pocket springs be on a pocket sprung/foam mattress? or does it matter?
  • ahh, sorry forgot this also.....are bed frames a standard size? eg if i was to buy one double size mattress and one king size mattress, would i get the same size bed frame for both or are their different sizes for the different mattresses

My son suffers from PPMS "very nasty" and he spends a lot of time in bed,
He bought a memory foam bed from https://www.trusleep.com and he loves it and it did not break the bank, it took a couple of days to get used to the change.
  • just getting a subscription to this thread so i don't have to search for it verytime
