iPhone 5 Gets Gushing Early Reviews

I'm not impressed with the new iPhone. I will give it a miss. Poor maps, apparently the black models come scuffed out of the box or get scuffed very shortly after, quite shocking.
It looks like another piece of tat from Apple.
I've never experienced any malware on my phones, but then I don't look for !!!!!! on my phone so that's maybe why.0 -
I have been waiting for the new iphone to come out for the last year or so, soo much to the tune of when i bought my new car multimedia center which cost £500 i wanted one that was iphone compatible even bought the extra £40 lead it would need to interface correctly, for then apple to change all the sockets, what a clever idea! for there pockets. good job i didn't buy new £800 stereo to go in house as well i would be really annoyed! who wants to buy yet more adapters.
secondly i wait for real user reviews to see how things bed down in the real world, this makes interesting reading another glowing review at least its honest by about general users

i personally like apples answer to this buried in the article
"We are continuously improving it, and as Maps is a cloud-based solution, the more people use it, the better it will get," she said.
so in a nut shell its down to users to use it and put it right overtime, so out the box and working as the apple standard doesn't really apply here i'm fast becoming of the attitude it doesn't do what it says on the tin here, question then becomes why is it worth the extra premium? and to my mind the answer comes back its not.
I for one will leave this one well alone i think apple need to go back to the drawing board for this answer should have been leaving googlemaps where it was till they had sorted out there own product first which they have not done.
now the bet is on how long before the 6 come along but it is going to have to stand head and shoulders above the crowd but can they do this without steve jobs time will see, but on the current product i think they are on a downward curve but they need to get recreative or lose market share as the rest of the competetion know what the game is and are now not standing still.0 -
Anandtech has just done a performance review on the iphone 5 and results look promising:

You might be ant Apple but no need to cover the malware problem on Android. You don't need to go to doggy sits to get it. Many users have by mistake installed it from Google Play. Many malware is hidden in games and normal apps.GooliesOfFire wrote: »

If Amazon Store can reduce the Malware in apps, why can't Google Play?
May be for Google users are less important then the doggy advertiser.0 -

As You you can see Android have many problems as well. For odd reason all anti Apple boys are happy to talk about one app on ios but never talk about any of the problems with Android.0 -

Which part did you miss in this week's news? Apple DO NOT get early gushing reports, seems like it is early flushing reports. You like to search the net, so I am sure you have already seen the articles this very week.0 -
Why has thegoodman suddenly changed the content of his own thread from 'Apple i5 gets gushing early reviews' to 'Android malware'??0

Because whenever someone mentions 'iPhone' it has to turn into an'iPhone vs Android' debate... it's the law don't you know!
I'm no 'techie' by far, but I've had the phone for 2 days and I like it. The only issue I have is the Crap Map App! I hate the map part, but I have tried the sat nav part of it and have to say I am quite impressed.
I'm very pleased with the rest of the phone. It didn't come out of the box scuffed and it went staight into a case (as have all my phones in the past) so won't be getting scuffed anytime soon.
I love how light it feels compared to my 3GS and how much quicker it is. Been smoke free for 4 years!! :beer:0 -

I must admit here I don't install many apps. I always install only a handful and I'm done.. Apart from what CyanogenMod comes with (I remove some from it to be honest i.e. RomManager) I only install purchased by me Root Explorer, PicSay Pro, Solar Explorer, Angry Birds Space and also free Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash Player, Facebook, eBay. And that's it and I only update those.0 -
