The maps on the new update are beyond horrific... There's no doubt on that! I was expecting better from Apple on this update... Yes I'm one of those loyal Apple people.... But I can honestly say I was VERY dissapointed when the new phone came out...

I fear that the loss of Steve Jobs means they're going to have run out of ideas, so everything that Steve Jobs had on paper before his passing they are going to try and stretch it out over a good few years....

the real brains at apple "in the early years" was the other steve .... ie steve woz who was the tech genius http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Wozniak . but thats not relavant for the iphone though.

  • Yes indeedy. Apple have certainly changed the world with their latest release . . .

. . . cities have moved, towns have disappeared from the face of the earth and whole areas have been lost in the clouds :rotfl:

Good to know at last two services are running fine.
Otherwise also need to offer bus maps
  • I think ani apple people are lossing the plot.
The maps is just the one app within the iOS.
Users can change to Bing Maps, Nokia maps and Google Maps.
It's unlikely this will stop people from upgrading their phones since other maps can also be used
The Android Os is know for Malware, the os sends out text messages without user knowing about it even make calls. So far Google have not done anything about this. Does this make Android bad os? Still many people are using the Android os.
The Windows Phone have limited apps.

No one is being anti apple , just because they are not pro apple, you type is if apple are perfect and without fault, the mapping is well documented outside of this forum, I don't think anyone including samsung would want apple to cease trading, after all we want choice, android have done nothing about malware as nobody is getting affected by it, and besides it wouldn't be androids problem, microsoft don't do anything about pc worms etc, there are companies that specialise in that.
Yes there are people that will make purchases without question, for everybody else there are alternatives. Whether an apple fan or not, the most awaited handset has failed to meet high expectation. A the advert says, the next big thing was already here

When you install an Android app you are told exactly what it is capable of doing. If you are concerned that it can make calls or send a message you simply hit cancel.

Google do not need to do anything about this, otherwise replacement diallers and messaging apps will suddenly not exist and people will not accept that.

I think you've already lost the plot. You keep banging on about people being anti Apple and yet you still can't show any anti Apple posts.
The maps is just the one app within the iOS.
    Really?
Users can change to Bing Maps, Nokia maps and Google Maps.
Why should they have to? Why aren't Apples maps working properly out of the box?
It's unlikely this will stop people from upgrading their phones since other maps can also be used
Who said it will stop people upgrading their phones?

No it doesn't. Conversely, iOS isn't a bad OS either and nobody has suggested otherwise.
The Windows Phone have limited apps.
Apps aren't everything, despite what Apple would have you believe.

Many people writing the ant-Apple posts have never owned an Apple product.
How odd still take a part and read psots in everything to do with Apple?

Is that fact or something from your stupid little brain?
Try and post something worthy of reading and semi mature, there are posts in this thread from folk that have the ios6, in the real world, only one of the fans I know is purchasing to keep their ip5, many are dissapointed with what they had waited for. The video link that someone had posted with the queue outside a store hits home very well, maybe the iphone 5s or 6 eh?

It seem some of posts are from people who don't like Apple products. The odd thing is these people still follow the iPhone release, read and write posts.

So, what is odd - that these people don't like or never owned?
I am not sure whether you ever owned Android, but you definitely don't like it. Why are you so obsessed with posting here all negative information on Android that you spend your life on looking for all over the web?
