The google map or tomtom also had many problems in the start.
But I thought one of the iPhone's major selling points was that everything 'just works' out of the box?

You will need to install apps on all phones even on Nokia 920 since many users are comparing that with iPhone 5.0

What's that got to do with Apple's poor excuse for maps?0

It's an app users can still use Bing as well as google and Nokia maps on iPhone, it's not the end to other maps.What's that got to do with Apple's poor excuse for maps?
Same as windows phone which have a built in Bing maps but still you can use Google maps if you perfer that.

:rotfl::rotfl:You do talk some tripe!
Apple thought they were being clever by dropping Google and releasing their own map system - but released it buggy and should still be in beta!
Quite shocking coming from the company that says "It just works"0 -
True, but you shouldn't need to use third party maps now Apple have made their own, it should 'just work' shouldn't it?thegoodman wrote: »It's an app users can still use Bing as well as google and Nokia maps on iPhone, it's not the end to other maps.

The Google maps had many bugs when released.

they are only available via the browser though, & therefore they cant integrate with other apps on the phone, eg contacts, messaging etc
as for it getting updated over time, its not that AppleMaps is missing data, its that the data it has is vastly inaccurate0
