iPhone 5 Gets Gushing Early Reviews

There were other tests results available earlier: http://hexus.net/mobile/news/apple/45293-iphone-5s-a6-processor-detailed-benchmarked/
However, for an ordinary user the difference between 1601 and 1560 or between 191726 and 172237 is pretty much negligible.
Granted, the difference is small in some tests and probably not noticeable in real-life use but at the same time look at the GPU tests where the iphone 5 trounces the likes of Samsung S3 in nearly all GPU tests. Admit it, the S3 is no longer king in terms of hardware performance

I eagerly admit this, but a sim-free S3 is easily available for £450ish with 2 years of warranty or for £380ish with 1 year.baby_frogmella wrote: »... Admit it, the S3 is no longer king in terms of hardware performance

I still remember when Google released the first version of Google Maps, it had so many errors, overtime most have been corrected.
So why force users to lose Google maps, in the meantime while they fix their poor version of Google maps?0 -

I don't see why people hang on a drop test.
I used to drop my old phones & they'd chip & what have you. Then i shelled out £450 on my iPhone & for that price, i didn't take any risks - didn't juggle it, didn't try to carry too much. I'd put it in my pocket if i was carrying other things etc. I have it in a flip wallet case.
As a result, in over 2 years of ownership, i've not dropped it once, not a single time, when i'd dropped ALL my previous phones at least once during ownership.0 -
I find my old Galaxy S bulletproof. I don't use a case and I dropped it many many times. No damage.
I think the newer thinner phones with bigger screens are more fragile and not much can be done without substantialy increasing the cost of manufacture. So we get this stupid situation where the show off thin phones get wrapped with a thick case haha0 -

and it well should be. S3 is 4-5 months old, that in the tech world now is half its life span before the new model is to be released. It would be surprising if iphone is not as good as S3 processor.0 -

(and no the tests weren't done by some hack from The Sun:rotfl:)
I wouldn't take any of these benchmarks as accurate, pretty much every phone tech site is running comparison benchmarks and the results are going in favor of both.
