Problems with Tiscali

If you feel the contract has been breached by them. I.e. your not getting what you are paying for, you can cancel it on those grounds, inform them what evidence you have of the breach, in accordance with the T&C of the contract, which remember - is a two way system. (your rights too).
Remind them you are quite prepared to go to court, to let the judge settle the matter, if they prefer. Inform them that you will cease payments from date, in accordance with the breach, and do so. Dont let them fob you off!!:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

It's been shocking recently, I was able to surf (not very well) via ip addresses rather than domain names, but on friday morning my connection died completely so I've cancelled.0

I hope you got a MAC rather than cancelling - oherwise you'd have to wait for about 4 weeks until you can use broadband again0

This is the route I was going to go down but then where does that leave me regards a broadband connection. And my out of pocket expenses and my monthly bill for my 'broadband connection-sic'
I just constantly get told wait 24/48 hours please we are working on this matter.
How long do you think I should wait until just chucking them?0 -
Tell them youve done your waiting and have no intentions of waiting ANOTHER 48hrs.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Customer service:mad: just keep promising to get me reconnected.Spoke to a supervisor who said I would deff be reconnected by monday-its now tuesday and im still not connected!!!!- they are probably just reading from the script given to them.
Any suggestions please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
It is easier said than done if you just tell them straight, that youve already heard it all before, how many times are you going to listen to them say "another 48 hours mate" before you realise that 48 weeks or months later, its still gonna take anothr "48 hours"??:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

Has anyone else been having trouble with their Tiscali broadband connection?
Ive been without mine since the 6th of July. Have called the 'technical support' line numerous times and been lied to frequently - all costing me money- and still cant connect.
Sent a letter to customer services via recorded delivery but still no reply from Tiscali.
They had the cheek to send me my monthly invoice for my broadband service.
Am I within my rights not to pay this monthly fee?
I am still under the 12 month term of my contract but can I break this as they are not providing the service I am paying for?
Any help much appreciated, I will reply to any messages when I can as I have to use my local library's internet service, well at least thats free:j
I had a problem before where I couldn't connect to the net when the dial up box came up, what it was was the password field had become corrupted somehow. I noticed too many asterixs in there for it to be my password so I just deleted them, put my password in again and voilla!!! It worked!! Try it and let us know! :money:0 -
I applied to get Tiscali broadband with "free" line rental and the date of the install came and went with no sign of a modem or no communication. Eventually I phoned their 0870 Customer Disservice number. The line was appalling and the (Indian?) guy couldn't understand me and vice versa.
Finally the answer was forthcoming that I had a "technical" problem with my line and that I wouldnt be getting the service. I asked why I had not received anything in writing about this and was told "I'm telling you now!"?!?!?!
I assume this meant that I was still a BT customer and my line rental was still through them, but with no written correspondence from Tiscali, it is v. difficult to know. However, I cancelled the Direct Debit straight away just in case!0 -
Sent 'customer services' a letter saying that if I was not reconnected within 7 days I would be closing my account. Got a reply saying that if I closed the account before the full 12 months term then I am liable for the full yearly cost, unless I have been unable to connect to their 'service':rotfl: for 28 days, well this 28 day period is up next week so they have until then to reconnect me.
Have also been in contact with local Trading Standards and CAB asking for advice etc.
As to the passwords etc ive tried everything mate, you name it ive tried it.
Its the Tiscali service thats the problem nothing else.0
