ive been with them just over a month, and its been fine, to be fair you only hear bad points about things, when people are happy they rarely complain. One thing is though we had it from scratch, we got it when we moved into a new property so there was no switching etc and i think that has been a big problem with people
  • Need to call Tiscali, and saynoto0870.com appears to be down.

Does anyone have a geographic number for customer services please?

Thanks for the replies people! My theory is that things get worse if you are moved onto the Tiscali LLU service (sounds like this may have happenned to Alison556). Good to know some people are working OK. I think I will phone them to ask a few questions before deciding whether to comit.

I have also noticed that Virgin.net (non-cable) are doing a similar package for £19.99pm with 8Mb ADSL Max and Anytime calls via CPS. I am now looking to see what sort of experiences their customers have had - that's not so easy though: you have to work out if people are compaining about cable or ADSL!

Lately I have been getting alot of problems with my Tiscali broadband connection in that there appears to be a problem at their end and I cannot get a connection. This has happened several times over the past couple of weeks and it is really frustrating.

I am considering changing my broadband provider but am not sure if it is a difficult process to uninstall Tiscali and install a new provider and whether you have to wait a certain length of time before one is taken off and a new one installed. Has anyone any tips?

    Thanks
    Val :)

    Changing providers is no problem.
Sort out who you want to move to.
email Tiscali and tell them you are leaving them and ask for your MAC (thats a BT code that the other company will need to connect you)
Contact your new company and give them your MAC.
If it works as it should you will be offline for only a few hours.

The best tip is not to install any ISP's software on your computer. At most you may need a USB modem driver installed but if you use a router which is much better, absolutely no ISP bloatware needs to be installed.
