18 Months Interest Free with Capital One

I also applied about two weeks ago and have had nothing back yet. However when I rang at the time of applying there was a recorded announcement saying that applications were currently taking 14 to 21 days.

I applied for a card less than two weeks ago (MOS insert) and today received an envelope imprinted with "APPROVED" so I opened it but was disapointed to find that they cannot offer me the card with interest rates I applied for but am being offered an alternative with 6 months 0% on BT's and purchases. But they will not tell me what Credit limit I have until I sign an acceptance of the alternative offer and return it and then issue the card. They explain they use 'credit scoring' and I can check my files, which I will do but is it because of what 'I already have in my wallet' excuse the pun, I have to admit to doing a fair bit of 'tarting'. However the cynic in me is also saying 'is this just a marketing ploy'? I can appeal against the decision and may well do so.
Anybody else had any response from Cap One yet? Cheers

I applied for 18 months 0% about 2 weeks ago and have received two!! approved letters ( for 6 months 0%). These were different to each other and both now live in the bin, I was thinking that they may be trying to trick people into accepting the 6 month >:(.

In Norfolk both MOS and Sky had 18 months, my partner and I were most pleased, but not if we are only offered 6 months >:(

Has anyone anywhere received a 18 month 0% account??? ? ???

;D ;D ;D Not Wanting to be smug but.........I have received a confirmation letter for my application (this is for the 18 month offer)........."I'm delighted to confirm that we have approved your application" Also lists the balance transfers that have been approved of which one has been completed already. I have 11k going onto the card for all my "debts" on my savings account ::)

You would not believe it......

have been looking at all the papers etc for the 18 month application for weeks. This morning go to the starbucks for my morning coffee and sit down on the table and what is on the chair.....A CAPITAL ONE 18 MONTH APPLICATION.

Can u belive that...just lying there...filled it and already posted it. hoefully will get the approval etc

I have been approved but I don't know what for yet. It seems that I made a mistake on the balance transfer included with the application but I would be sent the card in the next few days anyway. They asked me to fill in an enclosed form to correct and complete the transfer but they forgot to enclose the form! My application was for 18 months so I assume that's what I'll get.
