There is no reason why you cannot drive a car with a shoulder that cannot be used to pick up heavy weights.

I only buy Vax machines (from their website) - I know they are British made,
and I haven't got to go to Currys for them.

My VAX machine was made in China - it says so on the Model Number label on the back. It's a load of badly designed and badly made junk! - A bit like the Dyson vacuum cleaner I bought as well!

I bought a fridge freezer from Curry's, paid the price, politely refused the extra guarantee, a couple of days later it was delivered on time and they took away the old fridge freezer and the packaging.

    Good service.

If Curry's are as bad as you lot make out how come they are still trading?
Or is it that a few disgruntled customers (like the OP) only come on here to complain.

visited currys today! and i bought a new dyson vacuum cleaner. they took my payment at which point i asked the sales asisstent to carry the hoover to my car for me as i could not. she refused.

i asked if she could get someone else and had to wait over ten minutes for someone who could be bothered to carry it to my car for me.

great service huh! i definitely wont be buying my next there.

Why didn't you ask a friend or family member to come with you to help put it in the car? Or had a little chat with the manager before you bought the Dyson ? You must have known you wouldn't be able to manage by yourself, be reasonable
  • lol does everyone on here work for currys or something?

there were loads of staff in the store with no work to do and i didnt pay at a checkout, it was done at some terminal by the hoover section. after i had paid, they didn't do anything else while i was waiting. the person who took my money could have taken in to the car.

How do you know she could?

Maybe she knew she couldn't lift the vacuum, or it wasn't her job, or she couldn't leave the area she was in, or maybe she'd done it before and got into trouble ...?
I don't think waiting ten minutes for someone to help you is bad at all. If you couldn't lift it yourself then you could have had it delivered.

Also, how did you manage to get it out of the car when you got home?
