Warning - If you want a hand taking a Dyson to your car dont expect instant service to help you with the purchase to your car.0

Surely if you have one sore shoulder you would carry the hoover/dyson with the other hand/arm and just use the hurty one for a bit of support if needed. They are portable items designed to be lifted single handedly. My dyson came with a carry handle on the box to make it easier too, but it's almost 10 years old so they may not still do this.0

My Animal has been going for a few years but my original DC01 Dyson which we bought when we moved in over 16 years ago is still going strong and used daily at my In Laws.
I hated mine with a passion! Motor blew up almost at the same time that the motor blew up in my sister's one. When we got the Dyson picked up from our house to go away to get repaired, the man said that was what he mostly did - just pick up broken and redeliver fixed Dysons - said he saw so much he'd never buy one himself. Also used a cylinder one at work and i'd have been better off sucking up through an empty toilet roll tube! Got a Miele now and i'd never go back to another bagless. The difference is like night and day - and it's probably cheaper than a Dyson.0 -
Yup! Another happy Dyson owner here too. By far the best vacuum I have owned. I used to work for a large electrical chain so have tried every make on the market. Dyson wins every time.0

Funilly enough, where I work we see about the same number of miele and dysons coming back into tech support. The worst company for reliability of appliances seems to be Dualit, though.0 -

Wouldn't buy any other brand personally, I've had Vax and Hoover over the years but always come back to Dyson.
People's experiences seem to vary so much, most of my family and friends use Dyson and I've never known any of them to have problems with reliability, but then again I guess when you sell that many vacuums a year there will always be good and bad reviews.0
