Ex husbands new wife a nightmare! Csa help!

If he was on cs2 then the calculation is based entirely on his income, less a reduction for overnight stays, children in his household and his pension payments. Neither his partners income nor any mortgage payments are used in the CS2 calculation.0

one reason for the payments being reduced is if the children have reached 16 then the carers element of the maintenance assement, also the CSA do ask for proof of how much his morgagte is this info has to come from his lender, so if the ex's partner is on the morgagte then it will show up on the paper work,
As for getting all this info from google???? why not write down all your concerns and worries phone the CSA either ask them on the phone or for a face to face all the questions that you want answers for, then you will get a clearer picture of what is going on, going back to the payments being reduced if he does have a big morgagte, he is short of work then that might be the answer as to why the reduction. try not to listern to tittle tattle from other people remember they will most likey say what you want to hear rise above such things!!0 -
Natalie I can sympathise with your feelings of anger with your payments having changed significantly since the nrp has been in a new relationship. I am in the same boat. The nrp was paying a fair amount agreed between us but since he has been with her his attitude has totally changed. She doesn't work so he had to support her and her kids. I wouldn't mind so much except that it does get to you when I have to listen to all his excuses why he can't pay anything that month then hear from my kids how their step mum was away to get her extensions done, how she got the latest mobile etc... I know exactly the dynamism going on. Ex is stuck between wishing to be responsible for his kids and her pressuring him with money (kids have related they regularly have serious arguments about money) reminding him that I and my partner earn a good salary and don't need the maintenance.
I haven't gone to the car because being self employed I most likely would get little through them and only stress him even more impacting the kids. I can indeed support my kids alone but it's the principle. I have to make sacrifices usually involving material things so it does really wind me up that they somehow manage to afford some of these things despite being much to poor to pay any maintenance.
life is too short to live in anger though. At least I have my pride.0 -
I had a none paying ex so I know how you feel, it's not about the money it's about the fact that some people can just move on and forget they have a joint responsibility to support their children.
I don't think there should be any allowance for new children or big mortgages, the responsibility to support existing children is paramount, if you can't afford more children and a big house to put them in tough.
PWC can't just find ways around supporting their children can they? The existing children don't cost any less to keep just because they have half siblings arrive or their NRP wants a big house, in fact most children get much more expensive as they get older. A decent human being would not be looking for ways to get out of paying a fair amount to give their children a good life FACT.
By the way the moral high ground is a great place to be and the grown up versions of children with a !!!!less parent are usually loyal to the one that did the right thing;)0 -

Have bolded that part of Jarhead's post there as that's an important element of CSA1.......
Did you say how old the children were Natalie ?
Although i thought the Carer's element went at 14 but i've not been on CSA1 for about 6 years now so am working from memory (which is sketchy at best:D)Autism Mum Survival Kit: Duct tape, Polyfilla, WD40, Batteries (lots of),various chargers, vats of coffee, bacon & wine.0 -

The Carers element is reduced at 14 and stops completely at 16......all this is on CSA1 I don't think it comes into play on CSA2??0 -

My eldest is 18 this year and off to uni so her part would stop soon anyway, and my youngest is 13 and I think your right about carers element stopping when she's 14 because a reassessment happens when she turns 14. So for me, it really isn't about the money just the principle because now I want to close the case when my eldest reaches 18 because I'd rather not give my ex the satisfaction of me claiming the silly amount that would be paid for my youngest!
I mean he done me over big time! I didn't get the house or any settlement I basically just walked away with my two girls and started again by myself with nothing! I suppose it's a case of Karma for him now!0 -

So you'd give him the satisfaction of not paying at all?lol
It's up to you really but your youngest is entitled to that money, you have no idea what it'll beIf women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

In that case then, CTC and WTC of the NPR's new family shouldn't be taken into consideration when assessing CM either.0
